As a former owner of three of these, I can attest to their lack of value.
“Austin was commissioned to build the Champ to replace WWII Willys Jeeps in the British Military service. It is powered by a modular Rolls-Royce engine that produces 80 horsepower. The engine is linked to a 5 speed synchromesh transmission that has no integral reverse gear, drive being taken by the propshaft to a rear transaxle which incorporated a reverse mechanism that acted on all five ratios and is controlled by a separate lever. The suspension is fully independent double wishbones with a longitudinal torsion bar and telescopic hydraulic damper at all four wheels.
Recently, over $8,000 was spent replacing all the axle seals and gaskets for the front and rear differentials. The front and rear shocks were also replaced and the entire undercarriage and suspension was cleaned, undercoated, and detailed.]”

Bill, from Lime Street Carriages, posted some pics of last weekend’s 2o12 Willys Picnic on his Face book page. He wrote, “I think there were 76-77 Jeeps there this year and the weather was great (hot). My group took 6 Jeeps up from Lancaster (68 mi each way) and next year we’ll have more!
David spotted this model on Flickr. I don’t much other than it is being well built by someone named Alex.
This one is priceless. Based on the back, I’d say this was a CJ of some vintage and not a M-38.
“5/16″ armored jeep. Complete. Body is not rotted. Needs new undercarriage. M38? Awesome piece of history. 845-204-1475”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“1953 Willys Jeep CJ3B
1953 was the first year of the CJ3B
Have clear title
Jeep has been parked since 2006, got it out last weekend and fired it up. Last time it was tagged and drove was in 2006
Driveable / Running
This is a great running jeep, the headlights, turn signals, brake lights work. Charging system works (12 volt) The electric fan even works.
Working DUALMATIC hubs
Body is fair, there has been patch work over the years and a few holes in the floorboards
Frame is in good shape
Has almost new starter
Original Radiator is in exellent condition (no leaks / dents)
Tires have great tread
F 134 Hurricane engine
Willys Hard Top
NAPA electric winch included / has mount on front bumper
What it needs
Carb Float is sticking causing some flooding and fuel run over
Needs a gas tank ( has a hole in it)
Brakes work (they will stop you) pedal is alittle tight
Front fog lights are not working”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was listed at $1000.
Dan’s his former US Forest Service wagon. It includes the government data plate. He is offering $50 off to those that mention eWillys.
“Overview:
I am selling my Utility Delivery project to buy another Willys Wagon (with rear side windows)
This is a rolling body on chassis, and does not include an engine or transmission
You can restore with the original T90 transmission and D18 transfer case from Willys Wagon, Truck, or CJ or install more modern versions
Originally was a US Forest Service vehicle painted white; the subsequent owner painted the Delivery green sometime in the 1980s
The good:
Includes glove box doors, data/VIN plate, and US Government plate
Also includes miscellaneous parts such as the windshield metal trim, heater controls/knobs, etc.
Panel doors in good shape
Panel door glass is in excellent shape
Rear Dana 44 (stock as far as I can tell)
Frame is in good shape (just minor surface rust)
Locking front hubs
Clear title
Current California registration with white plates (non-op)
The bad:
Rust through in both driver and passenger floorboards, bottom of fenders, and rear valence
Lots of drilled holes in seat riser/tool box area
No windshield; door glass is cracked
Surface rust and dents all over
At least one goofy sheetmetal solution by previous owner on right front fender
Does not include the old yellow license plate. I hope to find it a good home as these Delivery Wagons are quite rare”
