About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“47 willys jeep is not running,(needs connecting rod) is all there was running when it broke..four wheel works ( no title)can give bill of sale and preveious owner.hate to get rid of it,but times change..will make a good project..call 936-203-0245”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500. It turns out this was not the only Parkette body kit on the east coast. Paul Parker began making them in Georgia after returnig there. this has the “tear drop” Bobcat hood as well.
I wasn’t aware there was another parkette bodied complete jeep on the East Coast. According to what I was told, this was the only parkette body kit on the East Coast. It needs a different hood. It also looks like it has two different headlights.
“1949 Jeep Willys off road
Great for 4X4 off road or a scenic ride
Parkette kit
Great tires almost new and with aluminum rims
Engine runs great and is a 350 V8 Chevy
Only thing the jeep needs is a radiator
For the engine and tires alone you would pay the same amount, so this is a great deal
Cash only.
UPDATE: Back on eBay. Was recently listed for $43,000 on Craigslist.
“A full and complete body off frame restoration was performed several years ago with a “cost no object” budget and completed the same way a high caliber major concours classic would have been done. It features its F-Head “Lightning” four- cylinder engine, three speed manual transmissionThis is truly the best one of these vehicles you could find”
You might remember that we spotted this rare 1948 Willys Overland Package Delivery van a while back. The buyer decided he had to let it go, so Jesse volunteered to take on the project of restoring it. To get to Phoenix, the van has made its first stop in Missouri at Craig’s place.
Craig writes, “The 1948 Willys Overland Urban Package Delivery is 430 miles closer to it’s new home in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s resting at my place in Defiance, Missouri right now before I make the pilgrimage out there to Phoenix and back in a few weeks. Since the ’48 got its start on eWillys I thought it could use an update there as well. The pictures were taken just a stones throw south of Roxanna, Ohio where Roger Martin (pictured with me) brought it from its home in Lake Geneva, Ohio. It looks a little better with some rubber on the wheels! Craig @ thefcconnection”
Someone took the time to get some nice pictures with this jeep. It sure makes the jeep look good. I’m not even going to mention that this was the last year for the CJ-3A model, but not for the body (later used by DJs of course).
“Barn find original (mostly) CJ 3A, last year for this body style. 4 cylinder engine runs real smooth, 4WD works, goes down the road and up a trail fine. Licensed for the street, with a clean title ready to sell or trade. respond to craiglist reply. Thanks for looking”
Mike wrote to me yesterday. He’s looking to trade for a jeep.
Mike writes, “I discovered your website about a month ago while looking for a willys to fix up. I am looking for a 1940s or early ’50s willys that someone is willing to trade for a snowmobile and 2 place trailer (est. value of $2500). I am hoping you may be able to help me with this as i haven’t had much luck on my own. i would like to find one that needs some work, but not something i need to start from scratch with. as long as the motor isn’t frozen and there aren’t any holes in the body, i think i could work with that. I am located in central Ma, so something within 10hrs drive would be preferred.”
So, if you have anything you think Mike might like, contact him at: m.holm.sfd at gmail.com or contact me d@ewillys.com.
I did learn that the jeep on which this was based is called both a Willys MB Calliope or a MB with a Rocket Launcher unit. I’m sure someone else knows more about this than I.
“DANBURY MINT 40’s Willys World War II ROCKET LAUNCHER Jeep Replica with Detachable and Adjustable Angle Launcher. Produced in 1995. Finished in Olive Drab. Diecast 1:16 Scale.
VERY RARE! Great Collectible for the War Veteran or Military Collector. Beautiful Condition!
If interested, please contact Rose at 724.251.4772 or email a response to this posting.”
It could be the pics, but the underside doesn’t look like it’s been completely rebuilt and painted. Looks solid.
“RARE SECOND OWNER 1947 WILLYS JEEP. I BOUGHT THIS IN 1996 FROM THE RANCHER’S FAMILY WHO BOUGHT IT NEW IN GEYSERVILLE. I REBUILT EVERYTHING; ENGINE, CARB, TRANSMISSION, TRANSFER CASE, ELECTRICAL, UPHOLSTERY, AND PAINTED IT. I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN IT TO DOWN TO THE MAILBOX NEVER USED OFF ROAD, NO RUST NO ABUSE. RUNS GREAT. EXCEPT FOR NECESSARY MODERNIZATION THIS IS THE ORIGINAL JEEP AND ITS PARTS. REQUEST MORE PICTURES OR COME SEE. I HAVE RECEIPTS.”
“I really hate to sell this but times are tough and need the money. 1951 willys cj3a rock crawler project, 4.3 vortec v6, th400 auto, advanced adapter, dana 20, and toyota pickup axles on 37″ super swamper SSR’s. frame is boxed front to rear. 1/4 eliptical rear suspention mocked up, and most of the parts for coils and a 4 link in the front. motor and trans are just sitting in the frame rails for mockup, no mounts or cross member built yet. the tube was really in bad shape so I cut it down and started over, no skins on the tube yet but I have a 4′-8′ sheet of steel for them.”
