About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(10/12/2013) This runs, but it needs some additional work.
“MUST SELL: 1942 4×4 Willy’s Jeep Has Small Block chevy, 4 speed transmission. “NEW’ Suspension seats, Brakes all around, Edelbrock carburetor, Edlebrock intake, HEI distributer, plugs and wires, exhaust manifolds. The paint is in excellent condition and the body is straight and rust free.
This jeep was a project my husband was working on. Due to his passing it remains unfinished. It needs a few additional things done. I know it runs well.
$4,500.00 OBO”
The staff at Bo’s Hotrods in Sanford, NC, just finished work on Jim’s restored CJ-2A. It looks like they do some good work. The jeep will now head to Maine where it will enjoy life in the country.
Here are some ‘before’ pics. As you can see, it appears it was thoroughly rebuilt.
Jeep just announced their Wrangler Willys Wheeler Edition. This is supposed to harken back to (or at least celebrate) the simplicity of the original civilian jeeps: the CJ-2A. When I look at it, I don’t see “2A”. However, I like the WILLYS sticker on the hood. Here are a couple links to more information:
“1962 Willys Jeep FC150 4×4, Rare Foward Control Short Bed Truck, Factory “F” Head 4 Cylinder Engine, 3 Speed Manual Transmission, All Original Paint, Overall Very Solid and Straight Body, Shows 76k miles that I was told to be original, Runs and Drives, Great Restoration Project or Enjoy its Patina and Drive As Is, $3,950.”
These CO-OPs look in great shape. It’s just the rims and tires for sale.
“I have a set of four Grip Spur tires and newer steel wheels. (E78-15lt) The tires still have the nipples on the threads. I bought a 47 Willy jeep and these where on it when I bought it. I have two other sets of tires and wheels and do not need these. The prior owner had just put them on prior to my buying the jeep. The front right tire has a little wear on the outside threads from the steering stop being set to deep and the tire was rubbing the thread. (see pictures) When they were on the jeep, they measured aprox. 31 inches tall. Real nice looking thread and very deep. I looked these up and they are a hard tire to find for jeeps. I have a set and you can own these. I will not drive around to just let people see these. They are what they are. The Jeep threads on the internet can do a better job as many have written how much they liked these tires. Rims are like brand new. Located in Chester Mass. 01011, map quest if you want. I do not answer emails and only take phone calls. If you email me, I won’t reply. I get way too many spam and scam emails to do that any more. Sorry. Price is $500 and I don’t need any trades, just cash. Thanks for looking, 413 six five seven 9 4 five zero
PS; I was also told they would fit other jeeps, like newer CJ’s and also Bronco. You need to know what else they will fit based and the lug pattern. Selling just like they are. I know they fit my Willys Jeep
They are like Super swampers, mud terrains all terrains etc.”
