Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a very nice original Jeep accessory. You simply remove your gate, drop the extension into place and move your gate to the back. There are also two braces that attach to the drawbar. You can pick up the extension ten miles east of Hershey, PA. Please email if interested and thanks for looking.”

Ok… Here it is. I as selling my Willys Jeep. It has been my daily driver for the last 2 years and runs great.
It has the Dauntless V6 with the T-90 tranny connected to a Dana 18. I believe it has the axles from a late 60’s to early 70’s CJ-5. The Dana 27 front and Dana 44 rear. It’s running 3.73 gears. It will do 75 on the freeway. Power steering. The intake is leaking oil, I have the gasket, just haven’t got around to changing. It only leaks when it’s running anyway.
I have a hard top for it with the doors. I put it on for the winter. It has a heater.
It’s running on 35’s. Can’t think of anything else right now. $3500 is the price . It’s a good deal just look around. Running, Driving ’43 Jeep with Hard top. Oh, it has collector plates… never need tabs. Title in hand.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700.
The engine’s not a flathead, as the seller indicates, but it is supposed to have been rebuilt. This might be worth a look for parts.

“This is an M38 body tub with 1946 Willys frame, hood, grill, flat-fenders, windshield and tailgate. 231 Buick V6 motor. Custom 2 into 1 exhaust (quiet). T-90 Transmission with Warn Overdrive conversion. Power steering. Heavy Duty 3 finger clutch. Electric radiator fan(so you can shut it off when you get in deep water). Heater, with fan for passenger side and driver side. Early 70s Dana 44 offset rear Axle(rebuilt 2 years ago), Late 70s Dana 30 offset front Axle (rebuilt last winter) with Warn Premium manual locking hubs and heavy duty U-Joints, both axles are locked with 5.38 gears. 11 inch drum brakes all around. Custom heavy duty Drive Shafts. Super Swamper 34 inch LTB tires. Front shackle reversal. Rancho 2.5 inch lift Flex springs with double wrap main spring. Heavy duty tie rods. Early 80s Desert Dynamics 8000 lb winch. 48 inch Hi-Jack, mounted on inside. Custom radiator. Custom Seats.
Its registered in ME as an antique auto, runs great, pretty much goes any where you want to go, it will climb anything. Ive got lots of extras lying around; soft top, spare axles, brake parts (including disc brake conversion for front), grill, drive shafts, back seat, etc. I have put more than $6000 in this jeep in the last three years with its most recent rebuild. My local jeep mechanic that’s known of the vehicle since its original rebuild 28 years ago says that its worth all of $5000, if not more. motivated to sell and let it go to the next fun seaking off roader.”
This has been partially disassembled.
“I have a M38 Willys Jeep that I have started to restore so it is partially disassembled. The engine and transmission is almost ready to come out to be rebuilt. The attached photos are of BEFORE restoration was started. This is not a running jeep. If you are looking for a project, this is a good one. I am not desperate to sale and will not give it away. (08/10/2013) (This engine/generator has been sitting in a barn for 5 years. I wonder if there’s a plate that marks this as a 1945 or if it’s a guess.
