Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale 1947 Willys jeep cj2a with a fiberglass body…. I restored this jeep 6 years ago and I has about 2000 miles since then… The original 134 flat head engine was rebuilt .040 over and hardened valve seats were installed. the frame was sandblasted/ painted and everything was gone through. It is 12 volt with an alternator, the gauges were upgraded as were the bucket seats, and it has a rear mounted stainless fuel tank. It does have turn signals and I do have the wiper motors which are not installed”

This may be a replacement body, since it doesn’t have the battery box.
“plain old have fun it. Can’t hurt it.. It is all here, original flathead 4, 4/wheel drive, Hi-Low, hubs. Comes with a great hunting rig for your rifles/shotguns. Already painted camo green to boot. PO put new brakes on it before putting it up. Comes with a tow bar too!
Not a lot of visible rust if any. I have no tried to start it but the motor is free. It ran when put up. Clean the carb, change the gas, and put a new battery in it and I’ll bet it will start right up. Have clean Florida title in hand.
$1,950 or make me an offer. Also willing to barter for Home Defense Items, Harleys, other MC’s, up or down, or ??????”

“I have a 47 Willys jeep, CJ2a, it was a good running jeep, I have completely disassembled it for restoration, but now I do not have the time to finish. It is a titled and registered jeep, the tub has some rust but nothing not repairable, the frame is good, all parts there plus a few new parts. Again this is a restore project and it is completely disassembled, make a great project for someone with the time to finish it. I don’t need to sell but just seeing if there is any interest.

(07/08/2013) Engine parts and tranny are sitting in the rear of the jeep.
“Have papers engine is out of a 1953 cj3a for drivablety and has been machined and sleeved needs cleanup and assembly, have full rebuild kit! jeep needs engine mounts and or front frame work a lot of weld up there other wise frame is clean body good all original have custom metal top $1000 OBO txt or call five59 397 8475 thx Reedley area”
