Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The seller calls this a CJ-2A, but I think this is more likely a GPW chassis.
“This 1945 CJ2A Willys Jeep frame/chassis is a complete running gear less engine. It comes with a Title and ID # CPW271063. As you can see in the pics, it has a tow bar for easy transport. Come on by and take look. I’m in the heart of old downtown Glendale.”
Joe found and forwarded this video showing a the restoration of a 1945 GPW. I am not certain whose jeep this is. This isn’t Joe’s video nor his jeep. If you want to contact the original creator of the film (or owner of the jeep), you may be able to do that through youtube.

I don’t know how vintage this is, but it looks like it’s never been assembled.
“Winneco Palmer Plastics 1/35 US Army Willys Jeep. I had no idea Palmer Plastics did WWII military kits until this item crossed my desk. It’s complete and unstarted with all parts still sealed in the factory polybag. Decals (a bit age-yellowed) and instructions are both included.”

Sierra County, NM, once claimed to have more jeeps per capita then any other county. I don’t know if that fact is true, but it was claimed to be the case in a 1950s article. Ever wonder how Truth or Consequences, NM, got its name? Read about it here.
