About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1948 Willy’s CJ 2A Jeep. All original. Straight body, good engine, no smoke. Transmission/4wd all work great. New tires. Tow bar and a few extra parts. Please call for additional information as I do not check emails.”
“1947 Willys Jeep 4×4 Hard top. Motor is missing a lot of parts. Does not run. Have title and selling as is. $1,050.00 OBO. Call Walter for details. 918-698-0584.”
“I have an old Willys flat fender Jeep 4×4. It is similar to a CJ3A. It is four wheel drive and looks like an old WWII jeep. It has a rebuilt flat head 4 cylinder engine. The engine is a Ford GPW engine with F-script bolts. It has been converted over to a GM style alternator and 12 volt. It ran nice when I bought it but I tried to adjust the timing and haven’t been able to get it to stay running well. Cranks over great. This is not a daily driver but a fun project jeep. I have too many projects and hate to see it go but times are tough. I DO NOT HAVE A TITLE !!!! I did a search on the VIN and it was titled as a 1958 DJ3A which was a 2 wheel drive version of the CJ3A. The body it has is that of a DJ3A and does not have the “lip” that you have to step over to get in. It has a canvas top and doors with it but the top will need repaired. ONLY SERIOUS INQUIRIES PLEASE. This is a great little jeep that would be a fun driver or farm jeep. It leaks oil/gear lube at several seals. Email any questions. Asking $1600.00 or best offer. Might do partial trade for guns, utility atv or tools”
“Barn find. All oringinal Jeep. Runs well. Call 916-712-2983. We will be at the Military Swap this weekend Thurs. 4/21-Sat.4/23 Tower KOA campground Lodi Ca.”
“I have a 1955 Jeep CJ-3B for sale. It needs transmission work, its a T-90 3 speed and has no title. 4 cylinder F-head engine. This is the rare high hood model. $1000.”
This is unusual. I’ve never seen a mod quite like this. I’s really like a closer look to see exactly how this was done.
“i have a willys jeep. im not sure the excact year. 6cly engine, 3 speed manual trans. needs alittle cosmetic work but for the most part its pretty solid. no title. no emails please.”
This appears in good shape. At first I thought this might be a CJ-3A, however, that grille would suggest the ’47 year is correct. I’m gonna guess this has a rear PTO.
“For sale is a 1947 Willys Jeep. Runs and drives good. It has the original motor and the optional PTO. Please call 785-614-4467.”
There’s some value, but hard to tell just how much.
“Two Willys CJ-2A Jeeps selling as a pair only. Not 100% sure but believe these are 1946 models. Jeeps are ideal for parts scavenging. Both have engines but not complete. Open to reasonable offers. Jeeps are in Ada, OK, buyer needs to pick up and trailer out. Text or call 580-399-1169”
UPDATE: Ori found a variety of similar modded wagons in Brazil. You can check them out here (and then scroll to the bottom).
Check out this Wagon. The body has been shortened. I think this looks pretty cool.
“Project car, no motor, will accept chey, jeep, or chrysler engines. Custom body, toyota land cruiser front and rear end, and many extras. Call, 520-310-7453”
(10/02/2010) This appears solid with minimal updates and sports a rear PTO.
“This Jeep is in almost original condition. It was on a farm in Nebraska since new, until brought to Boulder County in 2002 by the second owner., from whom we bought it. It has the original engine and all parts, including a rare “power take off” (PTO) on the rear which still works well. Original paint scheme of Americar Black with Harvard Red Wheels. I added the new soft top, and had the original 6 volt system converted to 12 volt for better starting and running. It has a new 12 v system, new generator, new carburetor, new fuel pump, and new 12 v battery, new tires and used rear seat. The engine and transmission are very strong, and it will “climb a tree.”
“This jeep has sat for 2years, fuel pump went bad, needs radiator,it will run,i garantee all 4×4 stuff works, needs restoring we used it for fishing and hunting excellent for that.”
