Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s not perfect, and doesn’t start, but for the price this is worth a look. The rear bumper is a little odd.
“Selling my 46 willys jeep cj2a, never get to drive it any more so it needs to go. Was running just fine but now wont start, probabaly an electrical issue or coil. Jeep is a very early 1946 vin# 19xxx. Has a really good body, has an F head motor out of a cj3b with an new after market carburator.”

Dan pointed out this rare Suzuki for sale on eBay.
“this is a very rare 1972 suzuki lj20 brute iv 4-wheel drive 359 cc two stroke with 20900 miles on it. we have owned it sence december of 2007 and hade engine rebulit back in 2009 with less than 500 miles one it. totaly restored body and was painted white “witch was original color” with clear coat everything works and runs great with a set of 5 brand new michelin tires and american raceing rims all with less than 500 miles on it and it rides like a dream. the repaint, engine rebuild and tires + rims were all done in july to august of 2009 and in september of 2009 was taken to moab utah for a 4-wheel meet and out of its 500 miles about 200 was done offroad and the other was all done on city/street driving for car shows and meets. it is fited with a tach witch was not original but helps to know what rpm you are doing on these vehicals. as far as the history of the vehical it is a local vehical sence the mid 80’s to our information that we have recived.”
This jeep is dismantled. The pictures shows what it looked like before being taken apart.
“I have a 1947 Willys CJ2-A that will make an excellent restoration project. The jeep is currently dismantled but I have all parts on hand and the parts, nuts, bolts, etc have been labeled. I started this project but have decided to move on to other things. All the identification numbers match and I have a clear NV title. This is a project.
“1948 Willys Jeep, body has been sanded and primed with 4 new tires (no mileage on them). Engine runs, but will need work. Original seats have been re-upholstered in a grey water proof material. Original 4-cylinder “go devil” engine. Has new points, new spark plugs, new glass bowel fuel filter. ”

(02/01/2013) Rob’s selling this 1947 CJ-2A. It runs and drives, but is not currently licensed. He is selling as a parts vehicle.
“Not-So-Fine Print:
Although Flat-Fenders’ are always a treat to look at and play with, this vehicle is 66 years old and is not advised for road use. It is not registered in CA so please bring a trailer for pickup. Its condition is commensurate with a life spent in the wilds of Montana and Nevada. Potential concerns include, but are not limited to: Dents, rust, leaks, worn transmission syncros, noisy throw-out bearing, and an inoperable fuel gauge. I recently purchased this Jeep as a parts vehicle, have completed my tasks, and it is being sold as such and as is.
Separately Available: Brand-New-In-Box Full Bestop 3A Soft Top with Doors, Rear (Back) Seat, CJ-2A Split Windshield, Tow Bar, and Two Mounted Jeep Jerry Gas Cans.”

“Buick v-6, truck 4-speed, t-18 transfer, dana 60 rear, dana 44 front, air locker in front and locked in rear. Ranchero adjustable shocks, 4 wheel disc power brakes, hydralic clutch, custom fenders, doors, cage, tire rack, monster tack, Optima battery, marine speakers, cj-7 seats, new soft top last fall. 33×12.50 tsl swapers, 9500 lb warn worm drive, also comes with one heck of a trail tool kit and basic extra parts, has big radio and cb. She’s a head turner and a go getter!”
I don’t think duct tape and bailing wire can save this jeep. I found the picture at the army airforce site. There are some other jeep photos as well.
