About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“I have a 1952 Willys CJ3B “High Hood” Jeep For Sale. Engine Does NOT run……..transmission, transfer case, chassis are all there and seem to be in good condition for its age. The body is in poor condition, but restorable. I have some an extra hood and windshield frame that is in “like new” condition that I would be willing to let go with it. Asking $300.00 FIRM, I can get that for scrap, but would rather see it restored. If interested, please call 706 618-5803.”
Were these used in jeeps? It they were, I thought someone might find it interesting.
“You are bidding a Portable Generator with 2 cycle engine. Engine has compression and spark. Will need work to make it run. Complete unit with all parts. Has tool box with additional brushes and spare parts inside. Handles on two sides of engine for carrying. Might require 2 people to carry. Engine is 2 cycle but you must use 30W non detergent oil mixed with fuel. todays 2 cycle oil is not heavy enough for this equipement. Be warned because use of other oil or lighter oil will cause damage.
I believe it is a WWII Military generator used in aircraft and jeep radio’s or other application. Gauges and generator seem to be all complete and in good condition. These make a weird sound and are loud when running. Tank cap needs new part for pressure relief cap. Has primer. Generator is for radios and air craft machinary requiring 120 V 400HZ. Only lights can be used if not designed for 400 hz or an adapter to adjust the hz.Collector item.
Signal Corps Power Unit PU-6/TPS-1
Duel Voltage generator
Model 13A120D28-1
120Volt AC, 28 DC, 14.3 Amp
Looks to be in good condition for its age,
Will need some work to clean out the gas tank and carb
It is a 2 cycle engine with an aluminum gas tank so its not rusty.”
UPDATE: I haven’t seen a Craigslist ad for this place since last year.
This place looks interesting. How about that first pic?
“I have parts for MB, CJ-2A, 3A, 3B, 5’s, and for Willys trucks and wagons. Please let me know if your looking for a certain part. If I don’t have I can probably find it! I also have many vehicles that would make great starter projects for restorations or rock crawlers”
It’s supposed to have only 7,917 miles on it. This may be worth a look.
“I have a 1955 Willy’s CJ-5 (First year of the CJ-5). Extremely rare find in this condition with only 7,917 original miles. It has been garaged almost it’s entire life. I picked this one up from the original owner and spent some time on it to get it back into driving shape. Now runs and drives, still 6-volt, everything completely stock and original. Even the original paint is in good shape! Have the original owners manual and promo poster to go with it.”
The seller notes there are no dents, yet it looks to me like there is a dent in the front driver’s corner. This lacks windshield wipers, too.

Eric forwarded this, wondering if this came with matching seats! The seller indicates he “knows what I have” yet doesn’t seem to know he has a CJ-3B.
“selling this 47 jeep.
besides rust and paint,
this is an awsome jeep!!
leaks no oil, and no water.
needs wiring but when i got it the guy hot wired it.
it ran well.
even has some orig. tires!
now the CONS:
needs new batt,
new tires,
wiring,
clutch,
and brake work.
has PTO…for tractor attachments!!
also
it has no tital, or vin #s
you would have to get some #s put on it..
its actually easy..
