About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

(12/24/2010) Parade condition … hmmmm … it does looks solid though. Sounds like it needs some additional work.
“I am parting with my 60+ year old Jeep. This is a very rare vehicle due to the amount of original parts including the Vacuum Wiper Motor! The Jeep is sound with the exception of a hole in the passenger side floorboard and some repairs performed years ago by previous owners.
The paint job IS NOT original. It was painted by the previous owner. This vehicle can be driven daily and has been very reliable driving to and from shows and events. I would say that it is ‘Parade condition’ it looks great from the sidewalk!
Repairs in the last three years:
Wheel cylinders and brake shoes
A new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot bushing.
Parking brake repaired
Fuel pump (glass bowl filter style)
(5) Original ‘riveted’ rims installed Non-directional tires & inner-tubes
Stored Indoors
Finding a Jeep of this vintage that still has the original running gear and has not been butchered is very difficult.
This Jeep does need work to be brought up to show quality and the price reflects that.
However, if you are looking for an antique that can be driven and enjoyed in its original condition – you have found it.”
(01/16/2011) This looks like a good little runner for a reasonable price. The body does have a few body patches.
“1959 Willys Jeep CJ5 with about 27,000 miles on the speedometer (speedometer was disconnected when I bought the Jeep). 3-speed with high/low range and 4×4. Has the front locking hubs. 12-volt system. Rebuilt starter motor and carburetor last week.
Wheels are 15 inch and in great condition with good Michelin 33×12.5 tires on them with good tread remaining. Previous owner invested over $900 in wheels and tires alone.
A few small rust spots under the paint and it is not a professional paint job but it looks good. The jeep does have a rust hole in the glove box and in the compartment under the passenger seat as well as some through the back bumper. There are metal plates screwed on across the back, in the bed, and on the front floors due to rusting of the original metal I presume. Some fiberglass repairs have been made on the back fenders also. Overall it is a very solid jeep.
It runs strong with no problems, starts and drives great. Previous owner took the glass out of the windshield frame. Needs turns signals, brake light wires connected,, and a windshield.
I have a top and two doors from a Humvee that I’ll include with the jeep. They are in good condition except for a hole in one of the plastic windows. They would need customizing to be able to be put on the jeep though.”
On the heals of last night’s post on the Nissan 4W60, we have the next major model of Nissan 4x4s which are sort of CJ-3Bish. They were produced from 1955 – 1960. You can learn about them here: 4W61, 4W65/ 4W66.
The 4W61 was produced from 1955 – 1958.
This is the 4W65 produced from 1958-1959. Now, while these have the correct side pieces, you can see the fenders look more like the 4W61. So, compare the front of the two below photos with the Black and white photo underneath.

The 4W66 was produced for six months in 1959 and 1960. I don’t have any good examples of this, but here’s a modified firetruck F4W66.
“Willys Jeep body. Body does have rust, but has various other parts still attached which should easily have value to any Willys enthusiast. I don’t know much about it. “1962 Jeep Willys pickup. It has an overhead valve tornado straight 6 engine, 3 speed transmission, 4 wheel drive. Had same owner for last 40 years. Starts right up and runs great. Has been sitting, will need battery and brakes. Not a rusty vehicle but has plenty of scratches and dents. Electric winch on the front and pentle tow hitch in rear. Clean title. #719-650-2349.”
What’s strange is the image that was included … a Willys MA??
