About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
John let me know that there is another Hobby Lobby toy jeep. Made of metal, it is 10.5″ long, about 4″ wide and long, which is a pretty good size, and currently half price at $12.99. The grille is a little different, probably to avoid trademark issues. It is reminiscent of the Italian Campagnola: http://www.ewillys.com/tag/campagnola/
“DJ-5 Postal Jeep runs and drives but leaks ATF out the main seal. Plenty of new parts included, new brakes installed and refurbished radiator. Would make a worthy project, I just do not have the time. Will need trailered due to atf leak.”
“1959 Willys FC170. Complete non running with title. Engine turns over but has Marvel Mystery oil dumped down the spark plug holes to prevent seizing during storage. The transmission shifter easily goes through all the gears and the tcase shifts as it should. The truck does have rust as it was a grounds maintenance vehicle for many years and it is from the 50s after all. I do still have the snowplow and it is included in the sale. Also included is a spare roller without a body. It has a Ford V8 a Willys transmission and tcase and the axles. It also has helper springs, heavy duty reinforced bumpers and bed braces should you really want to build a heavy FC truck, say to haul a vintage camper or such. I have new in box a 12v conversion and tune up kit along with a new in box complete wire harness. I would be willing to do a partial trade for a 241OR transfer case for a Wrangler, or an overdrive unit or a rear 540 PTO box for a CJ5.”
“1979 J-20 Jeep. Runs and drives. Plow works. Transmission was serviced last year. Used to plow parking lot of shop since 2008. Leaks power steering fluid. Brakes need attention. Truck is rough, don’t expect a gem.”
“Hy Lo Jeep Snow Plow parts removed from a CJ3A Jeep but may fit other models. Most everything except the blade. The hydraulic cylinder would move up and down before we removed it and other than that we know very little about these. $150 Pick up in Western NC Unable to ship.”
“Leaving the state so I’m selling my1955 Willys wagon, runs and drives. Four wheel drive, good body and paint, excellent interior, 12 volt , CD player. Engine is a an L226 Flathead but needs minor work. Located in Carson.”
“I’m selling my 1950 Willys CJ-3a, it was my first car and daily driver for 15 years, but now I think it’s time to move on.
Much of the drivetrain has been rebuilt, but it has taken a beating from years of off-roading and daily driving, so it’ll need some work. It has a 30% overdrive from Herm the overdrive guy, which can get you comfortably to about 60-65mph (I don’t recommend driving it on the freeway though). Has new powder coated steel wheels and NDT’s. New transfercase, windshield, seats & upholstery, gauges, comes with lots of spare parts, manuals, etc…
The body is in OK condition, but has thick Bondo in a few places, my friend peeled away the Bondo on the rear right wheel well where the spare used to be. Most of the photos aren’t super recent, so if there’s anything you’d like a photo of in particular let me know and I can send you a fresh photo, or if you’d like to come take a look at it you can contact me at the number in the listing (no texts please). I like people to know what they are getting when I sell, so I’ll do my best to let you know of any problems or particularities that it has.
My Jeep was featured on the cover of the 2015 Kaiser Willys catalog.
I’d really like it to go to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have, I’m really not looking forward to selling it but I’m looking to get an MG TD for commuting and more consistent gas mileage and I can’t afford to buy another car without selling one.”
