Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “One of a kind 4×4. Originally 2wd It has a Rebuilt 304 AMC with a trubo 400 trans
and Quad track Tcase. It is on a Wagoneer frame with Dana 44 front and rear with a 4″ lift kit.
It is on 32″ tires. Has power tilt steering and power disc brakes. It has a new top that needs to be installed. All original bows are there. Its a driver that can be driven anywhere.
No Rust in body. Gets a lot of looks. $12,500. Located in Lethbridge”
Rick wrote to share some pictures he took of the Pennsylvania Farm Show this past Wednesday. He mentions JBS Jeeps. You will want to check out the JBS Jeep’s website, as he has some neat pictures on it!
Rick writes, “Took these pictures Wednesday at the Pennsylvania Farm Show. Pennsylvania does not have a summer State Fair, but does have a BIG farm show every January. We went for the antique tractors and found a really nice farm Jeep as well as a minature Jeep that ran. The farm Jeep is owned by JBS Jeeps in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and he visits ewillys every night [editorial note … cool!]. The farm Jeep had a pto ,hydraulic lift, and was really clean – believe it or not he does plow a little with it!

This interesting brochure documents some of the uses of the Kaiser-Willys engines. This is the first document I’ve seen that shows the different ways the engine was used (though not all the ways).
“This brochure is in very nice condition for its age with very minor light wear. It is addressed to Thew Shovel Company. This piece measures 8.5″ wide by 5.5″ closed and 17″ x 11″ open.”

This jeep has a variety of CJ-5 aspects, but was supposedly sent to Sweden for use by their military.

It runs, but needs paint and brakes fixed.
“1951 Willys Jeep M38 Recently been used for hunting. 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission. Tires are in good shape with full spare. New battery. Vehicle runs good. No rust, Body just needs paint. Vehicle has current registration and clean title. I do not have top or side doors for it. Brake system needs to be bleed, brake pedal goes down sometimes but comes right back after I pump the pedal ? Vehicle is complete and driveable. More pic’s available per request.”
This needs some work, but includes an overdrive. It looks pretty straight.
“1948 Willys Jeep with a 327 small block chevy, 4 speed trans with warn overdrive, new tires, winch and several other great parts. The Jeep is complete and was running when I parked it two years ago. Will need some work to get it on the road again. I have too many toys and not enough time. This is a great flat fender Jeep that needs a new home. This is a project vehicle that is complete however needs to be cleaned up before being road worthy. Please contact me with any questions. 805-490-0441”
