Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The starting bid on this is only $1200. It looks pretty good and likely has the 30 spline offset rear differential. Those rims are pretty rare, too.
“Everything about this jeep screams cool. It is a really fun car to drive and definitely willget attention. I had it for 4 years in East Hampton tojust cruise around in. I really dont want tolet it go but I am living in NYC pretty much full time now. This is a great beach wagon and probably the best place for it is near sun and sand. It is definitely a great summer time car and a great project car for some one who doesn’t have a ton of time to spend on getting it back to original. The major overhaul work has been done. There are just a few more minor tweaks to make and then tackle the cosmetics which is the fun part.”

It’s got some rust, but the motor spins.
“942 willys mb jeep. it does not run right now.but engine does turn over.there is a 3 speed on the floor.everything is there and in original condition.there is body work that would be needed.there is even a place where a machine gun would have been mounted in the jeep.remember this is a 70 year old jeep.call ”

Here’s another nice looking Jeepster from Jeepster Jim.
“Really nice Jeepster that does not need Restoration. The top is ok and the interior is nice. It has the side curtains and runs and drives great, including the overdrive. It has new wheels and tires and comes with an original, working factory heater. The chrome is in good condition and the lights and the horn also work. I’d feel comfortable driving this car anywhere.”

Both are pretty much parts jeeps, we planned to buy a steel tub and combine the parts from both jeeps to create one. We never had the work space and never really got focused on it. Will send detailed pictures if interested.

Here a book for budding capitalistic kids.
“The Jeep Wheel Book, Published by Samuel Lowe Company. No date but early 1950s.
Neat little book has movable wheels attached to front cover. This copy of the scarcest title in this series, is in near fine condition. There is a bit of light rubbing near the tops of front and rear. Pages are clean and very tight. No names or other markings. It shows some of the uses a jeep can be put to.
Overall condition is Near Fine”
