About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1946 Willys Jeep, totally rebuilt flathead 4 engine purrs like a kitten and only has 5 hours on it! Clutch has the same amount of time on it. Hi-Low in both 2 and 4WD. Body is super solid as previous owner welded in all new steel. Runs and goes great but needs brakes. It comes with extra parts: heads, manifolds, etc… Looking to sell or trade for a school bus or motorhome. I will try to take pics tomorrow.”
For his Pic of the Week, Craig forwarded this unusual train built on a jeep platform that was featured in a 1964 issue of Jeep News.
I found an example of the above train-jeep being used at Africa, USA, though the details were slightly different. These pictures come from cardcow.com.

This appears to be a blend of mostly MB and some CJ-2A.
“This is a running driving 1946 Jeep. Four wheel drive works great. Flathead 4 cylinder. It has new front leaf springs, new coker military tires, new wheel cylinders and hoses, new seat coushions, new fuel pump. It comes with an extra parts engine, transmission, front and rear differentials. Brakes need adjustment, but I drive it the way it is. A great running and driving project.
“First civilian Jeep CJ, a direct brother of the 41-45 Military Jeep The MB. Not a show Jeep, but one for the hunting club and cruising town, trails. not restored but refurbished. I have a lot of time and money in it.I rebuilt the engine two months ago, smokes a little as the rings have not seated yet,and assembly lube has not burned off. all wiring is replaced, guages work, lights are functional. trans has new brass, bearings, seals. rims have not been painted, i have the paint. i have decent black vinyl seat cushion covers, but was going to put green canvas ones on, just dont have time for this jeep anymore. things like starter bushing need to be replaced(i have it) speedometer cable, parking brake cable, just tinkering stuff. it runs and drives TURNS MORE HEADS, GETS MORE COMPLIMENTS than any viper, monster truck, be ready everyone wants to check it out. six1six 3three7 five3 zero 8. text preferred.”
(12/13/2012) The pictures suggest this is solid, but the camo could hide issues.
