Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. How about this unusual matchbook cover from Fort Worth Willys showing a CJ-5 and a PTO/Post Hole Digger in action.
Bentley gave us a heads up on this. There is a CJ-3B in parts, a CJ-2a, a VEC CJ-2A (mistakenly identified by the auctioneer as a military jeep), and a ton of parts and tools. The VEC is particularly interesting as it appears to have full floating hubs, so it might be very VEC.

“Selling a Jeep Willys FC-170 w/ a dump bed and w/ wide snow plow.
This jeep has a heavy duty dump bed and a heavy snow duty snow plow. The motor ran when we parked it a few years ago. We drove it to were it sits now. The engine did need a tuneup and potentially more. The dump bed was working off the motor driven hydraulics when we parked it as well as can be seen in the pictures.

There is also 2 other FC-170’s with different configurations (one is a flat bed, $500, and one is a utility bed, $800) that are for sale. $2,000.00 for all 3.”
This is one nice wagon.
“a friend that started Fujimo in the mid 80’s passed away and i purchased it and finished it. it has had 4 engines a 283,350 ,400 and now a 383 stroker. it has a rack and pinion mustang 2 with disc brakes for a front end. 383 stroker motor connected to a 350 turbo with a 3200 stall converter. top has been chopped approx 4 inches and top of roof stands at apptox 67 inches. car was shown with great sucess in the early 90’s. fujimo was driven and not a trailer queen. he was retired in 1996 and placed in air conditioned storage.. he was taken out approx 5 months ago and sent to an old nascar mechanic in georgia. valves that had become noisy in storage were adjusted, transmission whose seals had dried out was completele rebuilt and cooling system was redoone including new larger radiator, new waterpump and electric cooling fan and larger fan blade was installed. clear coat had a couple of bubbles in it so fujimo was taken down to bear metal and new graphics and coat of yellow paint was applied, new carpet was also installed . old diamond pattern upholstory has a few minor stains but it was decided to leave it alone. considered installing an aftermarket SUV rack for the surfboard but decided against it. It would probably cost over one hundred thou to reproduce this vehicle. have invested over 15,000 since coming out of storage. I am 78 years old so it’s time for my old friend to go to a new home.”

“real nice jeep.compleat off frame restoraction in 2010..1948 willys jeep, 20,000 original miles. new tires, guages,and prety much everthing else .upgraded steering. drives a runs perfect.”

“This jeep runs really good. Freshly overhauled engine a few years ago, 4WD works with locking hubs, new Courser traction LT tires, front brakes overhauled, high torque 12V starter, new carburetor, good battery, lights work, 12V conversion with Chevy alternator, new temp guage and ammeter. Body is hunting jeep quality with some pitting in floor pan. This jeep is ready to go to deer lease as is. Needs literally nothing.”
