About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(08/30/2012) This has a rare fiberglass CJ-3B Body.
“Hello I have a 1953 willys jeep. Runs and drives good. Good tires. real clean. fiberglass body. Would like to get $3500 obo. If you might be intersted please give me a call at517-240-6592.”
“1947 willys jeep
6 point roll cage
brand new chevy 305 motor th-350 tranny
runs great, needs full exhaust
fiberglass hood, tilt steering, tilt windshield
call for questions, needs final assembly for gages and some other electrical. NO soft top…
open to trade for things that go bang or for a quad
no trades for other vehicles or junk.”
“Restored with 800 miles, 37,000 prior to that. Ebay buy that had a buggered up engine mount and “details” that need attention , being done by someone who knows right from wrong.
15 inch wheels, 12 volt, roll bar, soft top”
(10/18/2012) Well, if that isn’t a confusing body. I *think* that is a repro CJ body (with the M-38-like tool indents on the passenger side) with a tail gate that someone has added a glove box. Of course, it could be a MB body to which someone cutout the tailgate and added tool indents?
“For Sale is a 1946 Willys CJ2A, was a restore project but do not have the time to start it and have to clear out the drive way. Complete rolling chasis Jeep was originally restored in 1980’s made to look like an MB.Complete drive train with original 4cyl “GoDevil” L134. Engine needs to be rebuilt. Not running. Asking $750.00 cash no checks or credit.”
(01/08/2012) At least the seller acknowledges it isn’t all original.
“This is rare, most left the USA never to return.
It runs, shifts and stops, I have driven it in parades the last few years. It has been covert-ed to 12 volts and has a few other minor mods but for the most part it is stock and un-restored.
Body and frame numbers are gpw and match, engine is also gpw #’s, ID tag date is January 1944, original and unmodified body (except windshield) with very little rust. also have Pentagon manufacturing hardtop that goes with it. The trans, transfer-case and axles look original for the year.”
(06/14/2012) I wonder if that is some padding at the driver and passenger entrances? This has seen some patches, too. Are those Wagon seats or the CJ-5 2/3 1/3 bench seat?
“Cool piece of history
runs really well
too many new parts to list.”
“Complete, all original. Valid title, currently registered through Aug 2013. California street legal. Hurricane 226 six cylinder flat head starts, runs, drives well. All meters (except speedometer), heater, lights work well. New battery, tires, muffler. Rust free, clean, straight body. Some surface rust only on the floorboards but strong and solid. Many additional pictures available upon request. Located in Northern CA, can deliver if arranged before sale. Email David with questions, to arrange to view, or to make offer.”
(09/19/2012) The seller lists the mileage at 506,290.
“1953 Willys CJ-3B High Hood, Overhead Valve ‘Hurricane’ Engine,
F Head. Famous for reliability and very easy to work on.
3 Speed Manual, High – Low 4×4
I do not own the pink slip to this vehicle,
It was given to my father by a local. It can probably be tracked down, but it might not be worth it. May be cheaper to re-enter into the DMV system
EMAIL me your phone number and offer IN CASH ONLY
THATS THE ONLY WAY I WILL RESPOND SERIOUSLY TO YOUR EMAIL.
I won’t call you unless I say so in my RESPONSE EMAIL
Rare car, needs to go to a Jeep person.
The odometer looks stock
506,290 MILES”
