About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Classic and rare Jeep! Only 37k original miles! 4wd 4 speed! Inline 4 cylinder with 75hp. This thing is a head turner! Clean title! Aftermarket radio and speakers! ”
“Listing my 67 Jeepster Convertible for $28,500 OBO. I don’t need to sell it, but I just don’t get to enjoy it as much as I wish so I wanted to check interest and plan to list locally as well. Original condition, just about every option including A/C, mag wheels in amazing condition, I do have a clock w/o base and small trim by the door handles (not in pics). Not original paint, I’ve owned it for 10 years and only have put about 2500 miles on it. 79,650 total. It runs good, it does leak a bit in my garage. Seats are original, small tear in the drivers side. I did add Jeep seatbelts to the rear seat. Body is in good condition, small scrapes, cracks, typical imperfections. Needs top, I have one but it’s old. I was planning to “restore” with new paint and carpet. I don’t see any rust, only starting to see very small bubbles by the tailgate and driver rocker.”
“1947 Willys CJ2A. Barn find. Comes with Engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, 5 new tires, hard top and full doors. Missing interior. Glass broken. Floor boards rusted and will need replacement. No title. Willing to trade for nanny goats, heifers, quality hay, covered livestock trailer or $2500 cash.”
Seller would like the buyer to make an offer from between the two book values of $20,000 to $44,600. I mean, really?? but the “good news” is that it is under 150k miles AND it needs to be reassembled ….

“Had the Jeep for 10 years. Replaced the starter, the coil. the master cylinder, and the carburetor. I still have all the original parts put aside for the person that wants to bring it all back original. It runs and needs to have the carb adjusted “it’s brand new but needs to be tweaked to suit engine”. The engine is the original 4-312L. It was overhauled before I bought it. Tires are original seats were put in by me they’re northern tool specials. Call if your serious only.”
UPDATE: This post was originally posted July 29, 2016:
I finally snagged this “Jeep Multi-Stop Truck” brochure off of eBay. It is only seven pages. There are no details provided about the chassis used, but it does use the F-head.
The date on this proposal is March 1960. The first ad I have for the FJ-3 is in 1961. My guess is that this may have been 1) a competing idea for a cheap delivery vehicle or 2) the basis for what was restyled as the FJ-3. That AM General made a version of the Multi-stop right after jeep’s general and Military product division was spun off (1971) into the AM General Corp likely isn’t a coincidence.
According to some magazines of the day, the FJ was considered a Multi-stop van, so the description was used, though I don’t believe it ever appeared in any advertising. For example, this 1959 article except from Google notes the following, “office requirements for pickup and delivery of mail on multi – stop routes . The Fleetvan ” Jeep ” trucks , equipped with automatic transmissions , will feature compact cargo space , high maneuverability , maximum driver visibility ”
This documentation came from a friend. It accompanied a Sears Deluxe hardtop, though for some reason it shows the simpler hardtop instructions. Maybe the owner of this document lost the rest of the instructions? Either way, this might be useful to someone.
