Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Willy’s CJ3B with F-head 4 Cylinder. Drivetrain is still in the jeep but engine needs rebuilt. I was going to do a small block or v6 swap, but too busy with another project. Comes with a second mostly complete CJ3B that has a rebuildable drivetrain, but the body is a mess. I also have a complete soft top and several sets of doors. There’s a 3rd F-head block and head. Tires are 31-10.50’s, but only 1 or 2 hold air. Body is straight very little rust.”

This jeep is in great shape with very little body damage. Runs good. I have done the toughest trails in Moab and the jeep handles like a buggy in the rocks. The jeep will drive down the highway at around 50-60 MPH, but built for crawling. Head lights, tail lights, rock lights, blinkers, and flasher all work. 18′ dove tail trailer can go with jeep depending on price.”
From the “you learn something new every day” department, I just learned that a Peplum Movie is a genre of Italian films known as ‘Sword and Sandal’, perhaps better called Greek period films. Peplum is the Greek word for ‘tunic’. I stumbled upon the picture below, along with the topic of peplum, when searching for “Lucille Ball” and “jeep”. I surely do not know how that search string is related to a male actor in a tunic exiting a jeep, but if Google says they are related, I guess I must yield to its genius.

“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A (the first Jeep CJ). This jeep has a CLEAR TITLE and the original Willys 4 cylinder 134 cubic inch ‘GO DEVIL’ engine RUNS EXCELLENT. 26,000 ORIGINAL MILES. All the electrical works excellent including all the lights, guages and turn signals. Needs brakes and new tires if you want to drive it. It runs great and will move around easily. 3 speed on the floor shifts good and clutch is good. These CJ2A’s are worth $20,000 restored (look it up on nada.com). A really neat jeep project that will hold it’s value and you can fix it up as you go along. Drive it the way it is or restore it as EVERY nut and bolt and even brand new steel bodies ($2800) are available. Call before 10 pm 317-8 six 2-9 5 3 9. I can deliver this also!
