This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: Well, it seems I’ve used up all of ‘tonight’ and am already working on tomorrow, so I will wait til the morning for additional posts. Ann and I made it to Kanab, Ut, tonight and celebrated with a local dinner. Now we are spending a romantic evening in bed — she on her iPad and me on my computer — well, it works for us 🙂 … Ann thanks everyone for the birthday wishes!
I just couldn’t resist posting this one pic tonight. I’m not sure why Steve drove all the way from California just to read a book, but I can’t fault his choice in them!
(From Earlier) Nope, no April fools .. more posts later tonight. We will be hitting no-service areas soon as we leave Flagstaff . . . well that and it’s officially Ann’s birthday today. I’d better pay attention to her so that she’ll keep accompanying me on these trips!

This might be a fine little run-about jeep for the price.
“1946 CJ-2a Runs great, everything works like it should. Original Go Devil engine, 6 volt electrical ( I thought about converting it to 12 volt, but it works so well I just didn’t see the point). The odometer shows less than 30,000 miles. I have no idea if this is accurate, but am sure it isn’t rolled over past 100,000 because I don’t think these engines last 100,000. The body looks good from outside and is fine to drive as is, but it is pretty rusted out underneath. My plan for this Jeep was to take it out to Colorado for elk hunting trips so I got it all working good mechanically so I wouldn’t have to worry about that during my hunt. I don’t get to go on hunting trips though so I don’t really need this Jeep so I decided to let someone else take it from here.
It is a blast to drive. Mostly I take my dogs for rides and go to the range in it. Everywhere I go people seem to love it.
I did take it off road one time by an old strip mine and was amazed at how easily this little jeep will go anywhere. I used to have a Cherokee that was lifted with 33 inch tires and this little jeep will go anywhere that thing did.”

The motor is frozen, but the body appears to have potential.

This may be an earlish 1946 based on the three dash plates.

The number on the side suggests this might have been raced or entered in PNW events at some point. The windshield sort of looks CJ-3Bish, but the tubing arms looking CJ-2Aish to me.
“For Sale 1952 Willys M38 Jeep. This jeep has spent most of it’s life as an airport/fire and maintence vehicle. It is rust free and straight! Has a four cylinder flat head jeep engine that smokes slightly. Also comes with a spare engine (cracked block) that has a lot of good parts. Has a fully enclosed canvas top. This would make a great starter jeep for someone looking to restore a military jeep back to it’s original condition. Cash money only, no trades!”
