Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a 1951 Willys jeep in pretty good shape would like to sell or trade for a harley.This has a 350 small block and huals a$$. Lots of power no rust pretty straight body great off road toy.Also has a winch .Good tires 928-768-7184 ”
The seller lists two different prices for this M-38. Strangely, the dashboard looks like a M-38, but there are no passenger side cutouts and no battery cowl lid.
“1952 Willis Jeep. Runs good and has a sound body. All gears are good. Enclosure included (soft top and sides). Removable back seat, gun rack, and tow bar. The vinyl seats are cracked, as is the windshield. This Jeep was restored before I bought it and has locking hubs and wide tires. (I have two of the original tires and rims.) I have owned it for 10+ years and used it for hunting, playing, etc. It is kept in a shelter. Due to infrequent use, I am willing to part with it. $5000 Cash OBO”
This CJ-3A has a pretty crazy tailpipe. It might have some value, especially if it has an overdrive.
“1949? Jeep Willys overland cj3a, was running and driving last fall, parked for winter and the starter doesn’t engage and the brake pedel froze up. Will need complete restoration but has original seats with covers, a rare aftermarket hardtop from the 50’s, meyer plow blade with western hydraulics( one hydraulic cylinder is bad) and original equipment hydraulic engine driven plow pump. In Muskego Wi 53150 must sell soon–no title it was bought at a government surplus auction many years ago”

This ad has been posted since April 2; I just discovered it. There’s a ‘complete’ jeep without a frame.
“I am looking at moving and have numerous old 1940’s jeep parts and trasfercases and other parts that I am clearing out in hopes of making more room. Will not sell for nothing since these things are getting harder to find. I even have a 1940′ flat fender that just needs a frame all else is pretty much there and in good shape $1200. All other parts depend on condition and how hard to find.”
It’s missing some parts.
“Rare 1962 Jeep FC 170 with snow plow attachment. No engine or tranny. Most people put in chevy V8’s and automatic transmissions in these anyway. I have owned this for many years but never got the chance to restore and modify the way I would like to. My loss is your gain. Just try and find another one for this price. $500 or trade for a good .357 pistol or ??”

This is a good looking CJ-3B. It’s probably hard to find a brown CJ-3B top anymore.
“63 willys jeep cj3b soft top . f head 4 cly new batt, cap,rotor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, voltage reg, new seats. k&n air filter . 3 speed tranny with a after market overdrive. twin stick transfer case. dana 44’s with 5.33 gears. $6500 or trade for int. scout 2 or harley.”
For only $1200, this is worth a look. It looks to me like there is no glass in the windshield.

“This 3A is almost done. It is not a complete restoration but a nice little Willys for parades or driving around town. I was going to put a set of NDCC tires on it and let it be but I have decided I have to many other projects so this one is going up for sale. I’ve had the Jeep since last August. I’ve put a new battery in it, plugs, wires, cap & rotor button, new front brake lines, new shocks, gas pedal, & headlights. It does still need the exhaust finished, a rear brake line and a wire replaced between the amp gauge and the key switch. I drive it around every once and a while just to keep it in running order. The electrical system is still 6V. Feel free to email me or call me with any questions.”
This might be worth a look. The poor paint job might be masking a reasonable body. I wonder how the seller knows the running gears are good (because it rolls?).
