About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Despite the seller’s assurances, I’m quite sure this isn’t a CJ-3B, lol. It appears in good shape though.
“1951 Willys model CJ3B odometer says 55566 it is probably correct, but we could not verify the actual mileage. Runs great looks great… a real head turner, Military look, could use minor interior detailing and reconditioning but is a complete working CJ3B and fine example for a vehicle of this age. Any questions or additional pictures needed please call me at 978-682-3200”
This GPW body looks like it’s in pretty good shape.
“This is a 1946 Ford Military Jeep Willys CJ. It does have the engine, but it is not running at this time. My husband has owned this jeep for quite a while, and was planning on restoring it someday, but we have just not had the time or the money for this project. He did have it running at one time, but it has been sitting for quite a while. It is pretty much complete, and would make an excellent project for someone who had the time. I will be happy to answer any questions that I can.
This is going to be local pick up only, or if you would like to arrange your own pick up and delivery, we will be happy to work with the company that you choose to facilitate that.”
Here’s what appears to be a very restorable VEC CJ-2A. And it runs!
“Here is a 1945 Jeep Willy’s for sale. Its been off the road for about 12 years. Stock flat head engine. The oil’s been changed and a tune up has been performed. Carb rebuild, plugs, wires, points, condensor, interstate battery. It runs but “pops” back through the intake. It drives but needs brake work. Someone left the lid off of the master cylinder for quite some time. The rust is around as you can see in the pictures, some parts are very rusty but the chassis is sound. I was planning on fixing this for the ranch I live on but I just do not have the time. Clear tiitle. I will deliver it if I get the right price for it. Can be seen 9 to5 monday through friday and weekends by appointment”
“Had Frame Off Resto in 2006. Nice fiberglass tub painted with bed liner. Ford 302, runs great! Has power steering. Led tail lights. Drives well and more importantly has brakes! Newer 31 pro comps. Have t18 that goes with. Just looking to get a new toy. Cash talks! No money orders wanted! No shipping.”

This ad expired Jan 09, 2009, but I suspect this jeep (aka Wild Oats) may still be available (I only saw it for the first time today). I haven’t seen many of these in Utah.

This is an interesting jeep with a variety of upgrades, including a ’45 (MB?) body on a 70’s CJ frame and running gear. Someone knew what they were doing. Given the upgrades, this price would be hard to beat if you had to built it yourself. I hadn’t heard of the Hyrdrovac brake system.
“Custom 1951 CJ. Stretched 45 body on a 70’s CJ5 frame. 4 speed with granny low.
Dual stick transfer case with 2 wheel low option. Ford 300 in-line 6. Dana 30 front axle with disc brakes. Dana 44 rear – full floating with locking hubs for flat towing. 33″ tire with like new tread. 8000# Warn winch. power brakes – hydrovac system. Brakes continue to work when the engine stalls. Here’s an article from the BlueRibbon Coalitions’s sharetrails.org website. The California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs (CA4WDC) is celebrating its 50th anniversery.
Here’s an excerpt:
“1959 was a momentous and pivotal year. Fidel Castro became prime minister of Cuba. Alaska was admitted to the Union as a U.S. state (with Hawaii soon to follow). Rock’N’Roll was heating up the airwaves, and the California Association of Jeep Clubs was formed in April in Tulare, California.
Steve Morris, a member of the Sacramento Jeepers, was elected as the first president of the Jeep Association, an organization that would retain that name until 1962, when it officially became the California Association of Four-Wheel Drive Clubs.”

UPDATE: It seems I put the wrong link into this Ad. Now, I can’t find the link. I suspect this has sold already. I’ll keep a watch for it again.
Here’s a pretty CJ-3B. Lots of big pictures and detailed information on new parts included in the Ad.
