About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This looks solid, though the engine doesn’t appear as if it has been through a recent ‘full restoration’.
“1947 Willys cj2a civilian, full resto all stock original, overdrive, new military rims and tires, new clutch and seals in trans, bikini top and backseat, more desirable brakes and carb from 51, runs and drives like new, easily cruises at 60mph (overdrive). $16,500 (530)217-9316”
The two 1948 jeeps run and drive ok. This might be worth a look.
“FOR SALE- JEEP COLLECTORS JACKPOT:
1) 1948 cj2a Willys jeep with stock running gear, body and clean title. It starts, runs ok, and drives but needs some TLC (been stored for 20 years). The body is in good shape.
2) 1948 cj2a Willys jeep with stock running gear and clean title. Starts, runs, drives but also needs some TLC. The body tub has been redone in diamond plate. Needs front fenders.
3) 1946 cj2a Willys jeep with no title.(lost it in the fire and it was never in my name) Stock axles, transmission, and transfer case. It has a Buick 231 3.8L v6, 2 1/2″ suspension lift, 2″ body lift, and 36×12.50 tires on 15″ aluminum wheels. Body is really nice, jeep is not finished and hasn’t been run for a long time. I have the stock engine and I built the jeep so it could go back to stock.(no hacking) I also custom built power steering in it.
ALSO- a complete rolling chassis, extra transmissions, transfer cases, axles, and misc. parts.”
This has a rear PTO. It runs and drives great, but the rear body panels have been modified.
“This is a rare find. A Jeep Willys with a half cab and PTO. Great for a small farm or hunting lease. Jeep is solid and reliable. Runs and drives great. Please contact me with your offers.”
This needs a motor and perhaps a few other things, too.
“1946 Willys CJ2A, no motor but other than that its complete, its got brand new LT235/75R15 RADIAL RVT WILD COUNTRY on nice chrome wheels, new brake master cylinder and wheel cylinders have been replaced with brand new ones. This will need some work, but the driver’s side cab looks pretty good.
“well, its a 57 jeep forward control 150, its the first year they made em, iv had this for a couple of years now, was going to be a project but i never got around to it, and now im moving to the city where i cannot have it. the guy i got from had just rebuilt the t-90 transmission and never put it back in and neither did i. its been converted over from the inline four it came with to a small block chevy v8, its a 265 cubic inch small block thats suposedly out of a 55 bel air. but iv never looked up the numbers to verify. the transmission has the adapter to fit the chevy bellhousing so it should bolt right up, i just never got around to it. iv not had to motor running but the guy i got it from said it ran when he started rebuilding the transmission and i know its not seized up. the tires that are on it are ruined from weather cracking, they look good in the pic but trust me theyre not. that pretty much sums it up. im asking $1000 obo”
“1956 Willys, V8 350, automatic transmission, Chevrolet S10 frame, 2″ drop spindles, ps, pb, tilt, h&a. New carpet & pad for front. Wood in bed is perfect but needs to be sanded and refinished. Steel in bed needs to be painted or carpeted then wood reinstalled. All glass is good, seats are reupholstered and are out of a Mustang. This is a great driver and a blast to drive. A little over 16k invested, asking 12.5k.”
