This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: Back in May of 2011 Mike forwarded me the below ad. This morning Craig pointed out that Dan over at Hemmings did a nice article about the stainless bodies along with the seller of these kits.
The buyer apparently bought out a stainless supplier in the Philippines. Call the seller for more info.

“1942model Wyllis CJ2A jeep. Needs paint, brake lines and fuel tank. Engine and transmission are good. Runs smooth. $1,500 or will consider trade for a good, used 4 wheeler.”

“Nice original condition continual use survivor. Aprox. 5000 miles on new engine. Trans, Transfer case and axels in very good condition. Body, fenders, hood, windshield and tailgate repaired original Toledo Ohio Steel. Good Paint – Safety Red.
New in last 4 years –
