Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It was a sunny (finally), but cold day yesterday. So, Colter and I took a quick drive into the hills to smell the coming spring. Here are a couple snapshots.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7900
All original and family owned since bought out of WWII. It looks like the front hubs aren’t original. It has an interesting carrier in the back.
“1942 GPW Military Jeep. All Original, Everything Including the Engine, Transmission, Drive Train are all ORGINAL.
This Jeep has been in storage for over twenty years and hasn’t been started for twenty years. But engine turns over, nothing seized.
This Jeep has been in my family since my uncle bought it from the government after he got out of WWII.
This Jeep also has the front tow bar on that is military issue. They would use this to link two two jeeps together to tow a howitzer. I just recently got all the fees paid on this jeep and have current registration and clean title.”

Actually, for $600 this doesn’t look all that bad. I bet you can get it for cheaper, too.
