Jim is selling a half cab at a good price.
He writes, “Half cab for a CJ 2A Willys jeep for sale. Price is $200.00 or best offer. More pictures available. Contact Jim at 605-210-0738.”
UPDATE: You can see the final build here.
A citizen of Uruguay, Hugo recently contacted me to appropriately correct me from confusing a town, Londrinha, that doesn’t exist in Puerto Rico with one that does exist in Brazil (In this case, I believe I can blame Google Maps for my error!).
Because of this error, I got to know a little more about Uruguay, which it turns out I didn’t really know that much about. One cool thing I learned is a hand was installed on (or more accurately into) the Punta del Este Beach in 1982 by Chilean artist Mario Irarrazabal. He titled it the Monumento al Ahogado (Monument to the Drowned). Apparently, he did another, different hand in a Chilean desert.
Hugo reports that the jeeping is excellent in Uruguay, though he hasn’t had much of a chance to jeep this summer (it is summer there of course right now), because his CJ-3A is currently dismantled in his garage for repair. However, he did forward this picture. Thanks for sharing!
UPDATE: This sold at the FC Round up in March 2011.
Kevin is selling his FC-170. He writes, “I have for sale a rust free 1963 FC170. This truck has been hit in the driver’s door, I have pulled out most of dent from the door, it still needs someone to repair the cab door opening and then fit the door. This is an old plumbers truck from California and is rust free, someone has installed a V-8 ford motor I think it is a 289 A real nice installation job It has a 4-speed transmission with 427 gears so it goes down the road real nice the dash has been changed out too not sure why but it looks cool almost factory. This truck runs and drives great I have driven it a number of times with the door off around my area. People tend to look at you funny driving around on the freeway without a driver’s door I’m asking $6200 or best offer. ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
This body was widened 6″ … was it done because they could? Also, the rear appears to have been cut and a custom extension added (I don’t think that’s the bolt on extender I’ve seen other some other jeeps).
“The body was widened about 6 inches by Southwestern College years ago. It really is a nice configuration. I have the original military air cleaner setup. It has been converted to 12-volt alternator electrical. The rest of the drive train is stock with the flathead four and works great. The tow bar works great and uses a 1 7/8″ ball. I am selling because I need the covered parking space and my son, who loved and cared for it, will be out of the country for years. Driven regularly. Clean title. 4-wheel drive works fine. Lots of fun! $3500 firm.”
Mike asked me to post his 1946 CJ-2A for sale.
He writes, “It’s been rebuilt from the ground up, almost all original, and runs and climbs like a damn billy goat! The windshield is off a newer willys, the previous owner did this. I put in the new gauges.
The previous owner had a 1/2 inch solid square steel rod installed around the edge, he said he thought the steel was flimsy there, and when he took his grandkids wheelin’, when they were climbin in and out of the Willy’s he wanted it stronger and more rigid. Very nicefully done.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000
This might be a good price.
“if your looking for this model, e-mail me. i posting for a friend with no computer skills, can see in person, and go from there. must put {jeep for sale} on return e-mail.”
If only I had a good reason to buy it ….
“1960 jeep fc-170 drw w/ 4spd high pressure fog fire pumper 6000 miles minimal rust at rear fenders may need some brake work. $14000.00 cash on pick up only call 781-254-5888”
I think it has a little bit of a Partridge Family bus feel to it.
“Good solid wagon, very little rust. No motor, or back seat. OG trans and transfer case is there. Ford steering column. Extra set of front fenders, and grill go with it. Nice solid project. No trades.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700
It runs.
“48 Willys Jeep runs good, smokes a little, needs gas and a battery. $700 OBO”
