Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Apparently, the carb was changed in ’54 and there is a plaque on the dash verifying this?
“’43’ Willys Jeep, plaque on dash states that carburator was changes by army in ’54’ / Brakes and transmission gone through and repaired, good tires, engine also gone over. Gas tank needs cleaning. Price is firm, more into it than that.”

This looks good, but it’s missing the drain holes. I suspect there’s been some body work.

This looks great, but note it has a custom extended bed and a protrusion of some sort near the windshield on both sides of the body.

(08/09/2010) Neither Brett nor I can figure out what those handles on the hood do. This looks very restorable.
“I am selling my 1943 Ford GPW Jeep. Body data plate and frame data plate match. Jeep runs. Has the typical hat channel rust. Many original parts, grab handles, footman loops, and other brackets still attached. If you are the type of person that likes to work on a untouched original vehicle, this is for you. (05/09/2010) This looks solid, with a nice roll cage and newer 4cyl engine. It has odd little body additions on both sides door entrances.
