This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The body looks straight with little rust. But, the motor is in pieces.

You can see the seller (or someone) stretched the fenders and hood to make this fit the frame.

It looks shiny and sharp, but I think the seller would have been better off to paint this a more historic color.

(05/01/2010) “This is a project or parts car but is very unique. The motor does run and the transmission works. I cut out the rear floor pans and have the replacements this also has no interior but i have the top frame to it. I may consider trades for a boat. Thanks.”

“You can own the best military jeep Willy’s made with the better springs, rear end and improved seals. This jeep is in very good condition and it is very collectable and hard to find! It has the original engine with 24200 miles on it. The engine was rebuilt at 19058 miles. It has a 12-volt system with elec/vacume wipers, army data plates and black-out switches. (04/07/2009) “This jeep is a 1952 model M38.It has a 1962 Buick V6 special engine. The jeep runs really good, it has a couple of oil leaks.
