3 Flatties Phoenix, AZ **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, MB This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000

“Thinking about selling my collection, will take offers. The yellow one is 1948 CJ2A that I have owned since 1977 area with good AZ title. Had a Buick v6 when I got it but later changed to a datsun 4 cyl, but currently no engine mounted in it. I boxed in the front frame & set up for chevy saginaw power steering box. Has stock 5:36 gear axles converted to full posi spools. The light brown aluminum top is from the frame only picture which is an MB.
The MB has no title but has been AZ forever. I have the front end w/ black out lights back to the cowl and front winshield cut through the floor area. The frame running gear is complete w/ turret mount and free floating rear axle. The engine is later model rebuilt 4 cyl. over head valve.  The black one w/ aluminum hard top I brought in from Wyoming 10-15 years ago. It is complete except for motor which is out and cracked from freeze and no body rust. Not sure what the correct model for it is but the cowl & windshield frame is same height as my CJ2A which has a round frame, this one has a square fram but not tall like a CJ3B that a buddy had. The hard top is extremely well made and looks like it has been there from original, real solid w/ more square aluminum cross braces & upright corners & removable panels than I have seen before. I have numerous extra parts from over the years, spare flat head blocks and stuff.

I bought the MB to rob the new engine, free floating rear end and hard top for my 2A because I bought 2 sets of new disc brake conversions and was going to install on all 4 corners w/ locking hubs on all for towing. Then I found the black one and the top w/ doors was to good to pass up. The disc brake seats I ordered new and are still in the boxes. Serious inqueeries only, not in financial problems just considering selling to best offer over 4K

1953 CJ-3B Sauk Rapids, MN **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3B • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5900

(03/10/09) Here’s a great looking CJ-3B.  I’d like to see some more pics of it.

“Willys Jeep CJ-3B , Rebuilt Original 4 cylinder Drivetrain, Original 6 volt elec. System. Added 6 volt electric fuel pump. many new parts and new tires. It’s been in my family for over 40 years. 37,000 Miles, always kept indoors. My Mechanic says it needs to be driven more and I don’t have the time anymore for play. Email any questions you may have by replying or leave a phone number. I believe this is an ideal candidate for a total restoration to its original military appearance, which would at the least double it’s value, by ebay research.”

Hill Climbing in Canada — From Antiquewillys.com

• CATEGORIES: Features, Website This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

I have to say I’m a fan of Canada and Canadians.  Growing up in Seattle, Canada was only a 3 hour drive away, so I’ve crossed the border many times.  On the other hand, the Canadians keep sending me back … I don’t know what that’s about …

When I was 20, I had an opportunity to work in the San Juan Islands for a couple years, at the north part of San Juan Island itself at Roche Harbor (map).  Many Canadians boated over to enjoy Roche’s hospitality, perhaps as many as half the tourists were Canadian.  Because I had friends with boats, I had the opportunity to boat across Haro Strait and visit Victoria, BC, Canada.

There are four things I know about Victoria from personal experience:  1) The Royal BC Museum was a great place to visit; 2) There used to be a great knife store downtown that gave good discounts to chefs (I still have a couple of those knives); 3) There are places to drink in Victoria (which for a newly minted 21 year old was pretty fun); and 4) There were some very nice strips clubs downtown (which for a newly minted 21 year old … well, you get the picture).

I’ve also spent time in Vancouver.  During one memorable, well mostly memorable, experience, I attended the 1986 World Expo (and it turns out countries still hold world expos — the 2010 Expo is in Shanghai, China), which took place at the downtown facilities which held the recent Winter Olympic Games.  Me and 2 of my friends trekked up to the ’86 expo, without hotel reservations of course; instead, we spent two nights camped out in Vancouver.  The first night was on some land being developed right near downtown.  We just set up the tent, and jumped in (and a whole lot of traffic woke us up early the next morning).  The second night we found a walking trail a little farther out of downtown and jumped in the tent.  Oh, to be young again ….

With these thoughts in mind, I decided to do a search of flatties and Canada and happened across the antiquewillys.com website. After some looking around, I found a photo gallery, where I came across this image, posted by “waggone”.  I personally love to see those desert dogs reaching for the sky!

3 Jeeps, a Jeepster, and a Trailer Central Washington

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, Jeepster This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  The m-38 is still available, but I don’t know about the rest.

I’ve seen this Jeepster for sale, but other items haven’t been listed.  I am wondering if the  ‘M-38’ actually is an old MB with a replacement body.

1. 48 Jeepster, runs and has a L head engine. Most miles are towed since previous owner towed it to parades for 50 years. Needs right interior and some body work. $4500 The Jeepster is a driver and I drive it a few times a month.
2. Jeep project. CJ2A. Frame has had some work but needs brakes rebuilt. Engine was supposed to be rebuilt but need new cam. But its been painted nice. Has a decent body with just a piece that needs replace in tool box under the passenger seat and some minor dings smoothed out. Has nice windshield, hood and grille. I have 16″ wheels that need new tires but has tires on it now that are 15 inch to roll it around. Needs driver seat. I have everything else to put it together including two good fenders. $2000.
3. Project jeep that has engine that turns free by hand but missing starter and other external engine parts. Has windshield and grille now and needs front end work. Comes with a project jeep that the front frame broke off and needs welded on along with axles and other spare parts worth a lot. And also comes with a body that needs some welding. It was cut in half and stitched back together. $600
4. M38 with 302 that runs. Needs master cylinder installed and will run, but body needs welding since the guy who had it just fiberglassed it and bondo over that. So weld it back and its ready for the hill. It has a M38 hard top with doors. And M38 grille now too. Radiator needs installed. $1800 with a title but an error was made and the title says 43 instead of 53.
5. and last I have a trailer with data plates that was a fire dept pump trailer so has two holes that were in the side for hoses that are plugs and need welding. No lunette or landing gear or title. $800″
