Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The seller would like to trade a motorhome for this.
“This Jeep will start up. It isnt ready to drive yet. comes with 2 extra hoods, brand new tires, extra flat head motor. has the windshield no cracks in the glass. Title on hand. On the registration it has on it the prev-plt number that is GMV*** and Prev title # and it also says the prev. State is WA. when doing research on it i found the month is it was made was July 1945. Will trade for a running, working Motorhome. this means i am able to get in it and drive and use all the items inside. I am not willing to take any junked out motorhomes. Here are some pics. If you want a pic of a certain area let me know. And NO i did not pain this, i bought it this way .. so please excuse the VERY bad paint job.”

Here’s a restored CJ-2A.
“I hate, hate, hate that I have to sell this Jeep. I purchased this CJ2A several years ago and have 293 recorded man hours into the restoration. I have a full photo album of pictures from the very early stages through completion. However, only recent ones are available online. I have taken a few pictures of the pictures with my camera phone. Too much detail to go into regarding the restoration, but I do have a printout of everything that went into it. It runs well and is started weekly to keep everything in working order. T-90 Transmission and Transfer Case Model 18. Engine: #J45856. This restoration is one of the nicest that I’ve ever seen. This jeep is a great collectible and a piece of American history. Please feel free to ask questions, I’ll do my best to answer…. Make an offer! Can and would love to ship.”

Given the parts, this seems like a good price. I’d think this would have the Dana 30 & Centered Dana 44 as well. I think I’ve seen this for sale previously.
