This jeep has some early Husky hubs (see how they should look), but they are missing the levers to engage/disengage 4wd.

Steve spotted these trailers. I’m not sure what vehicles were designed to tow them, but they look like they are rugged and could be handy behind a jeep or tractor.

“Two 1950’s military trailers. Rusty but functional. Missing tow bars.
Phone calls only.”
This seems worth a look.

“Koenig Iron Works complete enclosure top from a 1955 Willys Jeep CJ-5. Comes with the top, two sides, back door and both side doors. Some glass is cracked but still intact, both side door windows move freely and come with all original hardware. Back door hardware functions as it should. The top is in very good condition. There is some rust and or holes, on some pieces, but overall, this would be great for a restoration project and is solid. I have the majority of the screws, etc., but they are standard size so replacing is not difficult. Also included are the old interior door panels, which are shot but could be used as templates for replacement.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $1750.
(07/30/2021) This may actually be a CJ-3A? The body is fiberglass.

UPDATE: **SOLD**
(02/25/2022) Sounds like it may run, but needs a tune up.
“Selling the coolest thing ever!
A Willys Jeep M170 combat Ambulance from 1962. Jeep is in original condition and could benefit from a time up. Comes with original canvas top (needs some patching) and door panels. Has siren, shovel, and axe. Has passenger seat from M38 Jeep. Also has a military trailer (photo coming) that hooks up to it.
My young family is expanding and as much as I want to keep this, my family needs a more modern family friendly vehicle more. Ah, decisions!
Will need to trailer or tow away.”
I ran across this magazine on eBay. Given the cover, I couldn’t resist buying it, though there was no other jeep pics or illustrations within it.
Could be worth a look.

(02/20/2022) The body looks in great shape. The custom console under the dash seems a nice fit (though probably not easy to get to given it is behind the shifters).

“Very nice finished Willys with newer Buick overdrive V-6 Detroit locker rear end with floater kit, 11 inch brakes. 4×4 lifted with tight suspension. Tow bar connector under front bumper. Solid straight body and undercarrige. Newer seat also has good floors and tub. This rig really likes to go fishing. Clean title $12,000 Plains Mt.”
This looks in good shape. Is that a heater blower on the dash? I don’t recognize it. The green windshield piece on the interior must be a defroster?

“1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep. Buick V6, runs good. Lots of work done and recent parts. Very nice best top and doors.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
While I doubt this served during the Korean War (which ended in mid-1953 .. see G503 discussion), this is the USMC version (Note the rings at the ends of the rear bumper) .
“1953 Jeep M38A1. Built for the USMC. Served in the Korean Conflict. Recently invested 5k (receipts available). All new brakes, fuel system, and hand wrapped wiring loom. Unique and collectable. Body is rough. Clear CA title. Serious inquiries only!”
