About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Clean solid scarce almost untouched Barn Find 1950s M-100 Military Jeep trailer … dusty Barn find … has military chains … don’t let this scarce one get away”
“I am selling a 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep. As you probably know, this is the first generation post war civilian Jeep. I bought three of these and am restoring the second one, and have decided to sell this one off. As seen in the pictures, I have a very good, usable front clip for this Jeep, two T-90 transmissions a Dana 18 transfer case and a Dana 44 rear axle (an upgrade if you choose to use it).
The main tub, tailgate and seat frames will need to be replaced. I have purchased two repo Jeep bodies and they work out very well (happy to help you with this process if you decide to buy a new body). Or, you may find a used tub that could be used. As I mentioned, I have restored two of these and have lots of info and resources for parts, etc. I developed a four page spreadsheet just to document the hardware required and where it is used. This nice looking convertible DJ-3A looks in good shape, but is missing the soft top parts. This jeep may have been sold in 2019 (it was up for sale at that time with different plates).
The seller notes that this was a “basic Dispatch” model. Actually is not a basic dispatcher, but rather the Convertible Dispatcher model. It looks in good condition, though it is missing the hubcaps, the soft top, and the soft top equipment.
“1962 Willys Jeep DJ3A: Red w/ Tan interior. Four cylinder 134 engine with three speed transmission (on column). This is a basic “Dispatch” model Jeep that never had a soft or hard top. This is the last year for the use of the Willys name. Drives and shifts smoothly… turns heads wherever it goes! Excellent Condition!.”
“I have a 1947 CJ2A 350 small block and 4 speed sm465 2wd project in the works. The mounts are all welded in and I many of the parts. I have body panels that need repair as well. Decent fenders grille and windshield. I’m looking for trade for very small hard shelled camp trailer like a scamp or similar or a Harley, any year or V-twin model also interested in a Kawasaki Drifter made to look like an Indian (either motor is ok).
Let me know what you have, basket cases are fine too. Preferably an 84 or newer but I’m willing to see what’s out there.
Big items the jeep needs is to complete the steering setup and get a 2wd DJ front axle(I found one) I will get it and pass it along with the trade. I have brand new bearing and pistons in the 350 and bought used recent rebuild heads, may need to be taken apart and put together again same parts, mostly there. Big AMC 20 rear axle with 11” brakes, have a dual hydraulic master cylinder and a set of swing pedals. The frame was sandblasted. Has new tires but very hard as load rating is high. Im sure this would be fun when completed.
I value it between 2500 and 3500 (with front axle) and will keep working on it.”
The other day I saw reference to some sites that allow users to use a string of words to automatically create images. As an example, I inputed “Willys Jeep” into the entry window at Craiyon.com. These images were auto-created. As you can see, the images aren’t exactly perfect.
David shared this link. Unclear just how much value is here. It’s difficult to understand the entire scope of what’s for sale. I don’t see any running/driving jeeps pictured.
“This deal is not for the faint of heart, but you will make money off this deal! I have 3 CJ6’s & 1 CJ5 parts Jeeps plus 4 other jeeps almost ready. I got parts out the wahzoo! Engines & transmissions body parts, and more. Must have a way to transport yourself & MUST TAKE ALL.”
