“You are bidding on a very early, very original, very complete and unmolested 1945 BT3-C, 1/4 Ton Civilian Trailer. It was built by the Bantam Car Company in Butler, Pennsylvania. Bantaminvented the original WWII jeep and built approximately 2,500 pre-production models prior to Willys and Ford taking over the production of jeeps for WWII in late 1941 and the spring of 1942. Bantam was then relegated throughout the remainder of WWII to buildingthe 1/4 ton ‘jeep’ trailer that was typically towed by either the Willys MB or theFord GPW jeeps.
A discussion with Barry Thomas of Farm Jeep has led to us looking deeper into the relationship between the Schenecker and the Glenn M. Rogers companies, which led to me finding this ad.
There’s no wind today, so just a few updates as I need to get to work outside.
This CJ-5 is worth a look. The tail gate has rust. I can’t tell if the floors do.

This looks in good shape and most likely has a replacement body (not M-38).

“1951 Willys CJ-3A. M38 windshield and body. Starts right up, runs good, no mechanical issues. L134 flathead engine. Carb just rebuilt, brakes were rebuilt last year, new battery, electrical system converted to 12 volt, fluids changed regularly. Has some rust underneath but overall a solid old Jeep that just needs someone that has the time to spend taking care of a 70 year old machine. Title in hand”
Sounds like it runs, but needs some engine work?

“Had for 7 years runs. Needs some stuff to run better. I love this vehicle.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
This might be worth a look.
“1942 Ford/Willys Jeep. Tub is a ford script. Not sure if the top was homemade or factory. Has a split front windsheild. Parts only, no motor. parts shown in picture come with it. No title, bill of sale only. Pickup only.”
The 3B’s body needs a closer look. There is a horizontal patch on the driver’s side.
