About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
1929 Willys Knight Model 56 $7,500 New Preston Marble Dale, CT
At some point I want to add a Sleeve Valve to the collection, these are really neat rigs.
Information from seller:
This is a 1929 Willys Knight model 56 that is a true barn find. It was driven into its resting place around 1990 and has sat there ever since. It’s 100% complete and original. Still has its original blue paint! There is no rot at all, only surface rust. No attempt to start it has been made. We just uncovered it and are offering it here.
Is this all ’46 not sure, the dash lay out might be off a little bit, but there were so many changes who knows, I thought the 3 plates were early ones but 42444 seems kind of later to me anyway. I know nothing at times it seems, so don’t let that sway you. It’s a cool little CJ-2A. Not going to look that up right now on the SN for the 3 Plate, leave a comment if you are in the know on this dash layout. I still need a plow Willys for my use.
Information from seller:
For sale: A well-preserved 1946 Willys CJ-2A with serial number 42444, a classic “Universal Jeep” designed for rugged utility with a 60 hp 4-134 “Go Devil” L-head engine, 3-speed T-90 transmission, and Dana 18 two-speed transfer case. This versatile vehicle features a 7-slot stamped grille, and a 10.5-gallon fuel tank, with dimensions of 130 1/8″ length, 59″ width, and 69″ height. Equipped with Dana 25 front and Dana 41 rear axles on an 80″ wheelbase, it offers exceptional off-road capability and durability. This CJ-2A is paired with a rare Meyer Cabs hard top (serial number 135-1770), adding comfort and protection in all weather conditions. The vehicle is in good shape with limited rust, primarily used for plowing a driveway, and driven less than 100 miles per year. It has a total of only 68,696 miles on the odometer and comes equipped with a sturdy plow ready for work. Ideal for collectors or those seeking a historically significant, functional vintage Jeep with practical features and a sturdy Meyer hard top.
1951 Willys one ton New floors , inner and outer rocker panels cab corners. Engine runs and yard drives. 3speed manual 4wd new master cylinder brake hoses. Glass good. 12v no brakes needs to be towed. Tires hold air but are no good. Needs fuel tank, wiring etc. comes with 7’snow plow and extra parts.
Going to list this as a CJ2A, does not look like an M-38, Not much in the way of details, looks like a new tub and some serious parts were put into this, I feel it’s a package, but I know exactly what you know on this one. Happy to add more details if someone sends it over.
FC-170, some extra stuff here might be a nice project.
Information from seller:
Clean title. 226 super hurricane Engine, is not currently running but is free and complete. The frame and suspension are in extremely good condition for the year. Definitely a super cool project. Comes with an extra set of doors that were in the basement for the last 40 years and an extra transfer case amd transmission that were in the basement as well.
Rough but might be some good parts here. What’s the main difference on a nice rig sitting for 30 years, its needs everything gone over and replaced mechanically most likely anyway. But I do think you should buy the best rig you can afford to start out with at times. Having the cab on here might be OK under that. Clean this up with some Scotchbrite and Comet and see what you have here. Contender for the next Epic Willys Adventure! If the frame is good, I like this one for sure.
Information from seller:
Old Willy‘s Jeep 4×4 Not sure of the year for Parts no title still has goodies on it. $600.

Information from seller:
Swapped sbc motor, hasn’t been started in awhile, but when last started ran good. Will need to be gone over, but was a running/driving vehicle. Obvious rust on body, look at pictures. Many additional parts go with truck, extra grill, body panels, etc. Looking for a fast sale and 4k obo. Clean title. Will need to be towed
