About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1949 Willy’s CJ, great little jeep, don’t use it as much as I planned, runs good, needs the oil pump gasket replaced, little drip going right onto the exhaust, haven’t gotten around to fixing it. Pretty clean body was redone awhile ago. Only trades would be for an older 12 valve”
This has been in storage for a couple decades and hasn’t been started since. The price is listed as $10,800, but the seller is taking bids (or maybe this is listed on eBay?).
“Wholesale Wednesday 1980 Jeep CJ-5 Full Stainless-Steel Body on 1980 CJ-5 chassis. 4.2L 258CI 6 cylinder, t-176 4 speed manual transmission, Dana 300 t-case, Front disk brakes, lock out hubs, VIN/DATA TAG ON FIREWALL, clear Texas title as 1980 Jeep. These are very expensive to build over $30k. This Jeep has been in storage since 1997 selling as found we have not attempted to get it running. Should be a straightforward service as prior owner said it ran and drove when parked. Rare opportunity to obtain one of these. Selling at no reserve highest bidder wins, do not bid if you cannot pay.”

This jeep has some updates, but still needs a few things addressed.
“Excellent condition and needs minor TLC to make it complete. Engine was replaced with 1967 Buick 225 cid V-6 odd fire engine. Body was recently painted black, reupholstered seats, padded roll bar, locking hubs, elec radiator fan, new Rochester carb, electronic ignition. Clean Ohio title.”
“1942 willy Jeep MB Original running motor! Flathead engine 4.0 needs some love but in really good condition for its age! Comes with both doors top and windshield. Selling for my father he isnt Facebook savvy if you have any questions message me and ill get you in touch with him!”
“Selling my October 1942 Ford GPW. Bought it about a year ago as a non-running project, but have decided it’s a bigger project than I want to take on and don’t have the space to store it long term. Additional parts including a January ’43 tub are included. $6,000 firm”
“I have had a 1946 Willys for a long time with the plans to bring it back to life but I don’t have time or money for it.
This is an old picture.
I have a 350 bare that would come with it. Transmission and transfer case that line up with it. It is now sitting on a CJ5 frame which is heavier duty. I have a sand blasted hood, windshield frame, and tailgate. I hve 2 original Willys metal seats and the fuel tank that goes under the seat. I’m Sure I’m missing something.
Bill of sale only.”
(12/27/2020) I don’t know much about these or what these are worth. Here, it is described as an M-151A2, but I couldn’t verify that the model number was used to identify this. My guess is that it’s built on an M-151 chassis, but that could be wrong, too. It reminds me of the lightweight airborne jeeps.
“Baja Jeep military rebuilt engine needs alternator ,lights ,and tires rare keep Selling don’t have the time to fix it up to many projects message me for more info”
This appears to be original, or close to original:
(04/08/2021) This seems to be a pretty stock VEC, which is why the lack of bow holders surprises me. This is one of several CJ-2As that makes me wonder if it was possible to get a CJ-2A without bow holders on the side.
“If this ad is still up it’s still for sale. 1946 Willys VEC CJ2A #22085 has tool indents, still column shift, eay air cleaner, correct generator w/cast iron pulley, early smooth cyl head. Has all body & frame tags, clean title in my name. Motor is stuck (soaking with MMO currently). Trans & tcase shift & steering steers. Sheetmetal needs some love but imo is salvageable.”
“Willys M38 military Jeep it needs alot of work still, however it has new leaf springs, shocks, brake lines and a master cylinder and a remanufactured carter carb. I have the hood and rear tailgate as well. It has a 1957/58 studabaker champion 185 6 cylinder engine and ran before I started working on it. I am not positive of the value. I have $1500 in parts alone. She is a project military jeep. Located in Saint Anthony, Idaho.”
