About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
46 jeep has a whole list of revised parts: newly rebuilt Buick vsix motor, borg Werner chev 4 speed trans, 530 geared axles,
8 k Warren winch, mustang recline bucket seats, full roll bar, 12 volt system, gun rack, CB radio, Cadillac tilt and telescope steering wheel, special built rear seat for hunting, tow bar. This jeep has about 500 mi. On the rebuild. And haven’t been drove in the last 5 yrs. Due to COVID and then the fires in the Mendo forest.
1979 CJ-5 Hardtop & Doors & sides & back & top – 1-Family Survivor – 30k Miles I am offering a rare, “time-capsule” 6-piece hardtop and door kit from my family’s 1979 Jeep CJ-5.
My father was the original owner of this Jeep (I still have the original title). The Jeep is an original 258 cubic inch Inline-6 survivor with only 30,000 original miles. This 6 piece set has been garage-kept in Las Vegas since day one and are in pristine condition. Absolutely no rot or corrosion. This is a dry, desert-kept Complete 6-Piece Kit: Includes the main roof, both side panels, and the rear liftgate.
All original Hard Doors: Factory steel doors with the correct “S-curve” for the 1976-1983 CJ-5. Hinges and latches are perfect. Hardware: All original factory mounting brackets and bolts are included. Price: $3,000 Location: Las Vegas, NV I have attached a photo from 1979 of my father with the Jeep, along with 20+ current photos showing the current condition and the 30k-mile odometer. This is likely the cleanest original CJ-5 top left in the country.
The CJ5 is build with lift and 33 inch BFG tires. It has the famous 283 V8 early Corvette engine with a 4 speed manual transmission, Dana 18 transfer case and a Warn overdrive. Totals the shift sticks to 4. The transfer case has two shifter sticks, one for 4 wheel or two wheel drive, one for low or high gear. The overdrive has one stick to engage it. You can have a total of 16 forward gears and 4 reverse gears if you need them.
The jeep has power steering, CJ5 never had factory power steering.
The Jeep comes with a bikini top, two racing seats, new springs and chakels, new battery and recently replaced tires. The fuel tank and fuel lines are replaced.
Engine runs fine, all gears working as they should. Vehicle is very fast! Original miles 68000. No body damage. Have a clean title, easy to transfer, does not need emissions because it’s a 1965 vehicle.
Cons,
Paint is white but peeling in areas.
Brakes need work, cleaning and adjustment, maybe new pads.
Six early CJ5 15×8″ hard to find and sought-after wheels in great shape! Good lug holes, good valve step holes, and very little rust (surface). (last two images are what these wheels look like with tires mounted)
1948 CJ2A Lefty. Willys only made 9,708 Lefty model Jeeps! You’ll notice from the photos that the spare tire is on the left side with the bow brackets on the right. It seems it was to satisfy a state law about possibly hitting pedestrians? I haven’t exactly figured out all the logic behind it. I’m not certain how many Lefties are still on the road?
Anyway, this one runs and drives, everything works as intended. It’s almost 80 years old so it has a few leaks as to be expected! I’m not sure you can stop them with the old felt seals etc. I’m the second owner of this Jeep and have enjoyed it immensely. Only selling because I’d like to get something newer and don’t have room to store 2 Jeeps. I’d even be open to trading for a newer model Wrangler. 90’s-early 2000’s? Let me know what you have. Obviously could need to be cash also depending on values. I don’t need help selling it. If it’s still posted it is still available. Please call, I don’t make deals via text messages.
Jeep not running. Floor board has significant rust in it. cylinder head currently off engine as it needed a new head gasket. The engine is a F head 4 cylinder.
I’ve had this Willys far too long and have accepted that I’ll never get to the build I envision 🙁
Purchased in 1990 and dismantled in 1991, after I cooked the rear pinion bearing. It’s been in a garage/tent in Santa Cruz Co. ever since. In CA DMV non-op status since 1994 – I have a clean title in hand.
The package deal includes all parts for a complete jeep (and then some), including:
– Body tub, fenders, grill, 2 hoods, windshield, tailgate, roll cage, 2 seats
The posted price is less than the sum of the parts value. I’ll entertain offers – just not ridiculous ones. I can deliver within reasonable distance for cost of trailer and fuel.
