About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Does need a new 6v regulator. Or upgrade to 12v. Has gm alternator. And upgraded distributor. Has pto driven winch. New head lights and taillights with integrated reverse lights. New blinker switch. Needs a wiper motor. I made some plywood interior panels and they have new speakers in them. It needs seats. Only has a driver seat at the moment. I do have the original passenger seat complete and the original driver bench seat frame. I also have wood planks for the floor. Rear window is cracked and one is plexiglass. 5500 obo. Open to offers. Only selling cause I have to many projects. Open to Possible trades. Have a clean title”
I bought the following 5″x7″ Portuguese ads off of eBay for $2/ad plus shipping from Europe. The seller noted he had more ads, so sent me a link to 96 more (including lots of good early ads). He wanted to sell these outside of eBay, so I figured I’d get a better price, especially buying in bulk. Instead, he doubled the ads to $4/per ad. When I balked at the price, he claimed he was selling his ads for €6 on eBay ($7.09). Given I’d just bought them for $2, I was a bit confused by his claim. Maybe something was lost in translation, but, needless to say, I won’t be buying any ads from this seller outside of eBay.
These ads have some neat illustrative work.

“1943 Press Photo crates of Jeep parts are lifted onto an assembly line, England. This is an original press photo. Somewhere in England — A heavy maintenance company of U.S. Army Ordnance obviously had America’s ability for automotive production in mind when it decided to set up a Jeep assembly line at a depot in England. On a trial order from Army Ordnance Chiefs for the assembling of 2,000 Jeeps they established something of a record within a fortnight — with Jeeps rolling off the assembly line at the rate of one every 3 minutes. Following pictures show how it’s done. Crates of partly assembled Jeeps, just received from the US are being lifted onto the start of the assembly line.Photo measures 9 x 7.25inches. Photo is dated 10-28-1943.
“I have this super cool old rare jeep. It’s a 1955 Willys Kaiser DJ-3A. Military 134L engine has been just rebuilt and runs great. It has been converted to 12volt and charges great. 3 speed T90 manual transmission works good. The wiring, lights, blinkers, brakes and emergency brake all work. Good oil pressure and temperature stays good. Can get in and drive anywhere you want. However there are some quirks… The gas gauge and speedometer don’t work. And this vehicle doesn’t have a title and will be sold with a bill off sale. There is also no windshield or tailgate.
“Late 40s willys jeep , bought off of estate sale for a project . I’ll never get to it . Does not run , engine looks like its had some work as it’s been repainted, manifold and other parts in back . Rust is not as bad as a lot of them I’ve seen, no title , bill of sale only”
