Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “The brief rundown is, it is a 1958 FC-170. It has a mid-engine Ford 351 with a C6 automatic. The truck has a ton of really cool features, such as a hydraulic bed and deck cover. Suicide doors, custom fiberglass bed. Jaguar rear end with coilover shocks, independent Mustang 2 front end on airbags. Complete custom interior. It really is a lot of fun, and gets attention everywhere it goes. Needs a little bit of electrical help, and could use a good paint job. It runs and drives. No rust. Located in southern Utah. Can help with shipping, if you arrange it.“

Andy spotted this truck project with a dump bed.
“Willeys pickup solid steel dump bed. Truck doesn’t run but motor turns, hydraulic lift works. Restore or put that dump bed on your truck. Original straight 6 engine and drive train. Bring a trailer”

“1948 ( title says 50, don’t know why but is a 48) 4×4 locking hubs high and low 2 and 4 wheel transfer case all work. 3 speed manual transmission fireball v6 engine. Runs great registration current. Hydraulic dump bed. Frame under bed super clean no dents or dings. Interior needs work. Needs wiring, lights not hooked up. Cool classic truck project that you can still cruise around while working on it. I have the step side panels just have them off. Was about to start painting but got another truck so letting this one go. ”

This has a dump bed. It’s listed as a 1956, but that seems unlikely since none were produced that year.

This has a tilt bed and some power train updates along with a dump bed. Daryl’s the seller and deals in vintage jeep parts (I’ve bought a few things from him).

Has a 4.3 v6 and 4l60E out of a 2000 GMC Jimmy with 30k miles when swapped.
All brand new 11″ Bendix brakes, brake lines and dual pot master cylinder.
Both axles just serviced.
Just did tune up, hoses and belts.
Has hydraulic dump bed.
This truck will drive across the country and get 20 mpg doing it.
