This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Blaine shared this truck. It’s got a hydraulic dump bed. It also has a Nissan engine.

“1948 ( title says 50, don’t know why but is a 48) 4×4 locking hubs high and low 2 and 4 wheel transfer case all work. 3 speed manual transmission fireball v6 engine. Runs great registration current. Hydraulic dump bed. Frame under bed super clean no dents or dings. Interior needs work. Needs wiring, lights not hooked up. Cool classic truck project that you can still cruise around while working on it. I have the step side panels just have them off. Was about to start painting but got another truck so letting this one go. ”

This has a dump bed. It’s listed as a 1956, but that seems unlikely since none were produced that year.

This has a tilt bed and some power train updates along with a dump bed. Daryl’s the seller and deals in vintage jeep parts (I’ve bought a few things from him).
“1963 Jeep FC-170
Has a 4.3 v6 and 4l60E out of a 2000 GMC Jimmy with 30k miles when swapped.
All brand new 11″ Bendix brakes, brake lines and dual pot master cylinder.
Both axles just serviced.
Just did tune up, hoses and belts.
Has hydraulic dump bed.
This truck will drive across the country and get 20 mpg doing it.
Any trades would be Cummins swapped Chevy square body, Willys CJ flatfender Jeeps

I can imagine the seller put time and money into this rig.
“1961 Willys Jeep Pickup truck. Restoration began with a near perfect rust free vehicle. Project was finished more than 20 years ago. Only 11,784 miles were ever put on the truck. And that was occasional driving for the first 3 years. Mostly to and from cars shows, truck shows, and parades. Then it went into storage for a few years. And for the last several years, it’s been parked under a shed. Time for a new owner.
Given the dual pistons, this might be a Garwood model, but I couldn’t say for sure. Unclear what the value is or what it would take to restore it.

Original dump unit from a 1960 Willys Jeep. Complete unit with tank and pump. Could be used to turn virtually anything into a dump bed.
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6000.
This appears to have a rare set of Thor hubs. It doesn’t run.

“Cool and rare 1962 Jeep FC 170 4×4. Very original and complete. Flathead 6 cyl., 3 speed. Has working dump bed.Lots of new parts. Runs and drives but needs a few things to be really road worthy. On non op license now. Cab corners and floors very nice. Some rust in doors. Have the only one on the road or at the show. $11,500 possible trade”
