About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This could be a great price. Will need some brakes bled at the very least.
“1959 cj5 with 283 chevy motor and 4 speed gearbox. Runs and sounds good, has dual exhaust. New radiator and electric fan, shocks and springs still have labels on them. Just not driven much. Brakes and master cylinder are also new but the master cylinder needs to be bled. Needs windshield glass. Starts right up and drives, but you have to pump like crazy to get brakes. Lights and signals work. New diamond plate and bikini top. Price is $1950 firm. Possible trade ….”
(08/28/2017) Looks like a nice jeep. It’s listed both as a “1954” and as a “CJ-2A”.
“This is a nice willys jeep for sale. Same owner for 45 years. It has a buick v6 and was restored about 12 years ago. Pto winch and roll cage. If you have any questions just call me.”
“Late-year 1971 Jeep CJ6.
V8, 304, hard top. Has new brakes & brake lines, new rear springs & shocks, a 4-way plow and winch. Runs good.
Passed inspection & registered in New Hampshire.
Call for more information.”
Some custom work added some handy steps. The bed tilts.
“We have had our FC150 at the farm doing work since we purchased it 5 years ago. I once heard somebody describe the FC150 as a “Tractor with a cab and heater”! This is a very accurate statement! This Jeep truly goes anywhere! I have never had it stuck or even struggle thru our deep ravines and hills! But over the last year we haven’t used it as much as we use to and decided its time to sell.
The Jeep appears to have its original engine which runs great! It starts easily if you start it every day or two but if you leave it sit for a week or so then it takes a little primer (a shot of carb cleaner) to get it started. It shifts thru all four gears with no issues and idles well. A tune up was done about a year ago which consisted of new plugs, oil and carburetor rebuild. I also removed and cleaned the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump and filter. I am not sure what the top speed of the vehicle is but my guess would be 40 -45 mph. The 4 wheel drive works great! It has the lock out hubs but I have never switched them and assume they work.
All hydraulics work great! The pump is powered by a PTO which is activated by a hand pull. The winch works great( I have never been stuck but stretched the cable out and rewound it by pulling the jeep backwards). The snow plow moves up and down smoothly but I have never had a blade on it. And of course the custom diamond plate dump bed works awesome! I have loaded the back end full of red oak-drove out of the woods-backed up to my wood pile and dumped the entire contents with no problems! Continue reading →

UPDATE: Price increased to $20k. Seller believes this was a 4wheel steer jeep. Based my research, 50 GPW 4WS were produced, but were they produced as late as 1943?
(07/11/2017) Seller thinks those tires and rims are original …. this has a gas tank in the rear.
“So I picked up this 1943 Willis flat fender ford built and it just so happens to be model gpw-4ws and that meens a lot actuall makes it a 4 wheel steering jeep that is one of the 50 they made.the rear steering is unhooked but its all there and the numbers are right on so as you can imagine my numbers are going up a lot.the last one that sold was a couple years ago n was in a lot worse shape then mine n went for 46,000 that being said mine only has 95000 miles it still has the original tires n wheels it also has a brand new top and original cast iron 4cyl engine n here’s the deal this thing is old n needs to be cherished n I need a jeep that is trail ready so if I sold it I would be asking 20,000 so any tj or rubicon 4dr and some cash works or just cash me out n double your money in a month or two at auction.i just want something that’s dependable for me to take my kids out in will do. ”
