About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500. It turns out this was not the only Parkette body kit on the east coast. Paul Parker began making them in Georgia after returnig there. this has the “tear drop” Bobcat hood as well.
I wasn’t aware there was another parkette bodied complete jeep on the East Coast. According to what I was told, this was the only parkette body kit on the East Coast. It needs a different hood. It also looks like it has two different headlights.
“1949 Jeep Willys off road
Great for 4X4 off road or a scenic ride
Parkette kit
Great tires almost new and with aluminum rims
Engine runs great and is a 350 V8 Chevy
Only thing the jeep needs is a radiator
For the engine and tires alone you would pay the same amount, so this is a great deal
Cash only.

“I can’t believe I’ve really sat down at the computer to do this. I hate to see it go, but I just don’t have the time to enjoy it, If you love Jeeps and Jeep history, you’re in luck. There aren’t that many of these around or available.
I bought this Jeep Willys on ebaY from Mark Singer just over ten years ago in January of 2002. At that time, Mark advertised it as a rare 1949 Willys (only 2,182 made). But we discovered when doing the paperwork that it is really a 1948 Manufactured CJ2A that was not sold in 1948, so when it was finally sold in 1949 it was titled as a 1949. If you are familiar with Jeep history, you know that this was a common practice back then. So the title still says 1949, but please understand that it is a 1948 Willys.
Regardless, this is a great vehicle that was described by Mark on ebaY like this back in 2002:
“…this Willys has been restored from the frame up. Everything has been replaced or fxed back to original as much as possible. The body and fenders are brand new and made of fiberglass from AJ’s Jeep Bodys in PA. I looked at a lot of steel bodys and could not even come close to being as nice as the glass body. The inner and outer windshield frame and hood and the grill are original steel. The windshield frame and hood still have the Willys name stamped on it. The body frame and anything that could be sand blasted and painted was. There are just too many new parts to name them all, but here are few. The radiator, carbutetor, wiring harness, gauges, dash plaque, all buttons and knobs, canvas on seats, canvas bikini top, master cylinder, all brake lines, all four leaf springs, and many more. One thing that could stand to be replaced or rebuilt is the wheel cyclinders, they work, but could work better/ The other things that need fixed are the speedometer cable and the float in the gas tank needs to be changed to 12 volts. Everything was changed to a 12 volt sytem. The Jeep is street driven only. We take it to several car shows and it always comes home with a first place award. I am only the second owner of the Jeep. The reason I am sellin the Jeep is I wouldd like to get something else to restore. You will not go wrong with this Willys.”
Mark told me that the Jeep was bought new by his wife’s family who used it for their gas station/garage in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Like Mark, I have only driven this Jeep on the streets.
Since I have had it, I have done the following: Rebuilt the starter, replaced all four wheel brake cylinders, brakes pads, return springs, etc., new starter button, replaced the speedometer cable, and got the fuel gauge working.
Last year, after having sat for a long period of time, the engine started running rough. I got a local mechanic (former military) to look at it and he diagnosed a stuck valve. He fixed that and pulled other needed routine maintenance and the Jeep ran fine after that.
I do notice now, however, that the Jeep tends to run rough for a few minutes after I first start it. The valve may still be tight. (??) Trouble is, I don’t run it often. It needs to be run and could use an owner that has some garge skills, which I don’t have.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not a basket-case vehicle I just do not want to misrepresent it as perfect. On the other hand, what 64 year old vehicle is perfect.”
