About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Jeep ratrod all gm running gear 283 Corvette engine with a 2 speed power glide transmission. No rust.dependable cool ride…may trade for the right Harley but must be worth the trade”
The brochures below show brochures from Roplas, a manufacturer out of India that produced Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) aftermarket bodies for 91″, 101″, and 104.5″ Mahindra jeeps. These brochures were assembled by Mr. Rahul Ram Amin and shared via the Flat Fender Jeepers Association — FFJA group on Facebook. I’m surprise that none of these bodies made it to the US, at least I’ve never seen them, especially in the Pacific Northwest where fiberglass bodies were readily used.
This fascinating brochure shows a range of special-purpose jeep bodies produced by Roplas, including service vans, police bodies, and ambulance models:
This shows a Roplas body on an MM 540/440 Jeep:
This brochure shows a “Ranger” body on a Mahindra NC 640 DP:
This brochure shows a variety of Jeep body styles built by Roplas for Mahindra models CJ-500D (2Dr & 4Dr) and the NC 665 DP 4Dr Van and Truck. The body products include the Roplas Universal, the Chieftan, the Highlander, the HiRider, and the Cabin.
“Up for sale is my 1953 Willys Cj3B Jeep. This jeep is a project and would make a nice project for someone over the winter. The jeep runs and drives but needs brake work and a tune up and some electrical stuff with the lights sorted out. It hasn’t ran in a few months, but I have no doubt it will start and I’ll be putting a battery in it tomorrow and starting it. The brakes stop the jeep but not well. The body is rough. It’s been patched over and re-patched in some places. It has fiberglass front fenders. New shocks on the front. I do have new led tail lights for it, an orginal heater, and an electronic ignition module for the distributer that will be included. The top needs a little welding work. Tires are dry rotted bad and leak. A set of steel rims are included as well. I have a clean title in my name. Asking $1800 for this classic… who needs a side by side when you can have this?! Work on it over the winter and have a fun jeep to cruise in when it’s spring time. Sold as is.”

“I am sad to be posting this but here it is. This is a one of a kind Hardtop Jeep Willys CJ3A. It has 18,500 original miles and the motor was rebuilt at 15,826 in 2016 ($3000 of work that I have the paperwork for).
Shocks were replaced at 15,665 miles. It is converted to 12volt. Its got brake lights and blinkers. 4×4 high and low work perfectly. The hardtop is custom fitted and fabricated, they didn’t make these with hardtops back then. This is a one of one Jeep Willys with an awesome patina, it could be sanded and panted easily but I would say don’t do it, keep that patina alive. Continue reading →
Stock CJ-5 with a Koenig hardtop and early Free-Lock hubs.
“1956 Willys CJ-5 with original Koenig hard top. Been in my family since 1969. This is a stock Jeep. Runs, drives, stops. New wiring harness. Yes, I have the title. As-is $3,250 obo”
Seller indicates this is a Keonig, but the back edge doesn’t appear correct for a Koenig (it is hard to see in the pics), so I can’t say for certain who made the top.
“Koenig Jeep CJ 5 hard top.
This is a Koenig top currently on a 1950’s CJ5. One side window glass is broken, and there is a dent in the rear of the top over the back hatch.
Also have a set of front fenders and hood that I am packaging in the deal.
This is for the hard top, doors, and black fenders and hood. The body and jeep are not for sale.”
James has spent quite a bit of time going through the mechanicals on this former Forest Service CJ-5 (no gov plate to confirm this). He’s a got some good history on it and out has a rare Koenig 520 barn door hard top. The 520 model marks it as a “CJ-5 Jiffy Cab”, according to an August 1957 brochure. The “Vertical Rear Doors” were an option that fit all the Koenig full cab models (Super, Standard, and Jiffy models … more on Koenig hardtops here).
“1963 Kaiser Willys CJ5 Jeep Universal
Must come to Powell, TN for pick up.
$6500 cash only. CASH, nothing else. No trades either.
Clean Tennessee title in my name.
If you are out of state, I will work with you, but I will arrange nothing. You must do all the leg work.
Ok, that’s out of the way. I bought this CJ5 in August of this year. Since the 5th, I have put about 450 hours into it. That’s one benefit of working from home, haha. It is not a restoration. More of a project to make it safe and fun to drive without worrying about it being a trailer queen. Continue reading →
