UPDATE: Was listed on eBay auction that ended 05/28 and it did not sell at that time.

Mike forwarded this ad. Seller notes the transmission is a “4 spd. semi automatic transmission” offered by Willys? Neither Mike nor I have.

“I purchased this vehicle from the original owner in Palm Beach Fla..I am the second owner, have owned it for 31 years, been mostly in storage always run and stored w/marvel mystery oil in fuel. All original including tires(special no flat tires,no dry rot cracks at all)Totally unmolested ORIGINAL.RARE 4 spd. semi automatic transmission,Maverick model.Only 2500 of this rare model originally made, and made for 2 years only.Original carpet and burlap headliner in this model only.Top speed is 78 mph hour compared to 55 mph for all other models. You will not find another one like it in original condition/almost no rust on body, undercoated from factory.Staining on paint was from wd40,oops.Runs and drives PERFECTLY.The only thing ever replaced was the radiator and water pump, just replaced last year No repairs ever, very mint and original rare model.Runs and drives perfectly. My age is why I am selling some of my vehicles, John, three 21-30 two-20 four four, for any Q’s. Many people say they have a Maverick model and do not.Very few around and I have never seen an unmolested original, in the condition like this one.The vin#5814712927 tells you that this is the rare and very driveable Maverick model (78mph speeds)that make it very enjoyable to drive on today’s roads. 1959 Maverick Wagon San Diego, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.

“1959 Willys Maverick Wagon. Fairly rare 2wd Maverick wagon. Very solid and straight body which has been in the desert all it’s life. No engine but originally had the “F” head 4 cyl which was removed for a rebuild and lost but an easy engine to find if you want to go back to original. Has not been driven in over 30 years. Only rust is in the front floors due to the floor mat retaining moisture but other than that you will have a hard time finding a more solid wagon than this one. Interior is shot due from being exposed to the desert sun over the years. Has the straight axle/ leaf springs up front so if you wanted to convert it to 4wd it would be easy. It will make a great restoration, rat rod or custom project. $2500 Don’t contact helping to sell it- not interested. It’s a project and will need to be towed. Call and leave your # if your interested and I’ll return your call as soon as I can.”

No pics provided.

“This vehicle is a Willys Maverick. It is ranked as a very rare find. This is a,restorable vehicle that is complete. Items that are missing. headliner, one rear interior panel, it has 3 original rims no caps, have 64 chevy straight six not the original Kaiser 6 and not installed, missing side moldings, only has original front seat frame.
The Willys Maverick was originally produced through the sponsorship of the Maverick western comedy tv show. It was produced with a different windshield, one piece instead of two, different side moldings, and a upgraded suspension that was later used in the rebranded 64 jeep wagoneer. This vehicle is described as “very rare”.
This is a very restorable vehicle with quite a story. I hate to part with it , but maybe someone else can find the time to breathe life into this unique vehicle. ”

Nice looking wagon.

Unique and super cool head turner – period correct 1956 tagged license plate – I bought this to brand and use for a coffee roasting business, closed the business and now need a newer 4X4 – open to trades for low mile pick-up, diesel preferred. Will to go up in value as well if you have something special that requires so cash”

“This is an incredibly solid, original 1960 Willys Wagon 2 door Maverick Edition. It has been extremely well taken care of over the years and drives amazing given its original status. The “Super Hurricane” flathead straight-six engine starts and runs like a top. The whole drive train is solid, it has a manual 3 speed transmission with an overdrive also referred to as a “brownie” gear. 4 wheel drive shifts and works good too. Has no problem starting or getting around, even during winter. Continue reading

1960 Maverick Wagon Cazadero, CA $20,000

Paul Berry let me know that this beautiful Maverick is for sale.

He writes, One of my customers regrettably has decided to sell this beauty. We have done a lot of work to it over the years and it is an outstanding vehicle. He and his family have enjoyed it for several years. Located here in Sonoma County, CA. It was featured in the Norris-Banonis Jeep Classics calendar. It has been on display at the Willys America Open House show in July. And as you might imagine, the owner has more invested in it than his asking price of $20-K. Give me a call at Willys America for more details: (707) 632-5258
