About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Update: Still posted, but I ran across this again and noticed the additional trim at the bottom of the windows and going to update this to a Maverick, has a 226. 2WD I Beam, has carpet kit (looks replaced)

Pretty together Wagon, engine looks to be missing some bit.
Information from seller:
1960 Willys wagon complete does not run body is in fair shape
Looks like a legit Maverick, has the center console basket weave still, seats look legit, this has the Bullet trim, first year for that was ’61.
I was talking with a good friend he has had a Maverick since I think 1978. It’s gone through a few life cycles so its a neat vehicle. But he mentioned there might have been some sort of “Maverick” trim that went on the hood that said “Maverick”. I have not seen that before. I know they had that super special version with the early hockey trim, but this was mentioned as being maybe where the 4 Wheel Drive logo was. Just curious told him I would put it out there, and was only like Monday we talked.
Information from seller:
Mostly complete Willy’s wagon it is rusty but still has lots of potential would make a cool rat rod or whatever your heart desires motor is junk has no brakes does have clean Indiana title 1500$ cash or trades welcome
Maverick F134 2WD OD. Not totally stock so have some room to make some changes as needed to this one.
Information from seller:
1960 Willys Wagon, Maverick edition, original f head engine, 3 speed transmission with a column shift with working overdrive. It runs good and is a rear wheel drive. New brakes, master cylinder, all new brake lines, new water pump, comes with a used back seat, new tires, and a few other extra parts. Cash only
Roger Martin shared this video from “Remote Trooper” that explores the ghost town of Nelson, Nevada, a place full of abandoned vehicles and other items. The tour includes a quick clip of an early Maverick Willys wagon complete with the rare emblem (at the 3:18 mark).
Mike shared this wagon. It needs some body work (see pic of rear wheel well), but runs and drives.
“The wagon runs great. Brakes work fine, also. This wagon is very complete and original, but it needs some attention everywhere. The drivers window is broken. There are rust issues with the floorboards and rocker panel supports. I have started replacing some of the support brackets but needs more work.
New Virginia title. I have not retitled the car in Maryland. Car is located in Maryland.”
“I am testing the waters to sell or trade my Willys. If sold I am asking $24K. If trade I want something equal in value or possibly cash on top.
This 1959 Willys Wagon Maverick was restored a few years back by a coffee shop in southern California. They reportedly spent $30K to get it finished. Unfortunately, that coffee shop went tits up so they sold the Willys to the guy I purchased it from. This car is a nice driver not a show car. It has power windows, power steering, A/C, Heat, CD with bluetooth. It has a chevy 350 motor with an automatic transmission. This thing gets lots of attention. It will come with the original vintage roof rack and some other odds and ends. Car is registered in TX but has a CA title in my name.”
“1959 Jeep Willys Classic. Excellent condition. Notably mostly orig. stock condition and virtually no rust anywhere. Runs great. 3 on the tree. Gets attention and stops the crowds every time we take it out. Hardly any 50 Willys in the country still on the road or for sale, especially one this original and in this shape. Won best in show every time it was entered. Have too many toys and not enough garage space. Also selling my custom Harley and 2 pristine Mercedes convertibles if interested. If they sell then Im keeping my Willys. Price will go up as summer approaches. “
Andy shared this one. It’s supposed to be a Maverick. That leads to the age old question, what is a Maverick. According to Grover’s site, the Maverick should have a serial number prefix of 58147. Some folks have argued that only the true Maverick was only made in 1959 (and was the first wagon to have a one-piece windshield).
“Willys Mavrick 4×2 Needs work, does not run has Buick V6 engine, standard on the floor. Rear quarters, door bottoms, floors, rockers were done once. Still have rear gate and glass but was converted to delivery doors only for the reason that my dad was “didn’t want to crawl over the gate to get stuff out of the back”. I have original trim to put back on it.I had big plans but life is life, sick of looking at it. Dont know miles on engine or wagon. Was my father’s and was our family car when I was a kid. If your not serious than let’s not waist each others time.”
“This is a really solid, good driving, original 1960 Willys wagon two door maverick edition. And it has been well taken care of over the years and runs and drives really good giving it’s original status. The “super hurricane” flat head straight six engine starts and runs like a top. The drivetrain is solid, it has a manual three speed transmission with an overdrive also referred to as a “brownie gear”four-wheel-drive shifts and works good too. Has no problem starting or getting around even during winter some of the more recent work that has been done to it includes new clutch, new gas tank, new brake lines, new fuel pump, and new battery.”
UPDATE: Was listed on eBay auction that ended 05/28 and it did not sell at that time.
Mike forwarded this ad. Seller notes the transmission is a “4 spd. semi automatic transmission” offered by Willys? Neither Mike nor I have.
“I purchased this vehicle from the original owner in Palm Beach Fla..I am the second owner, have owned it for 31 years, been mostly in storage always run and stored w/marvel mystery oil in fuel. All original including tires(special no flat tires,no dry rot cracks at all)Totally unmolested ORIGINAL.RARE 4 spd. semi automatic transmission,Maverick model.Only 2500 of this rare model originally made, and made for 2 years only.Original carpet and burlap headliner in this model only.Top speed is 78 mph hour compared to 55 mph for all other models. You will not find another one like it in original condition/almost no rust on body, undercoated from factory.Staining on paint was from wd40,oops.Runs and drives PERFECTLY.The only thing ever replaced was the radiator and water pump, just replaced last year No repairs ever, very mint and original rare model.Runs and drives perfectly. My age is why I am selling some of my vehicles, John, three 21-30 two-20 four four, for any Q’s. Many people say they have a Maverick model and do not.Very few around and I have never seen an unmolested original, in the condition like this one.The vin#5814712927 tells you that this is the rare and very driveable Maverick model (78mph speeds)that make it very enjoyable to drive on today’s roads. I will be happy to assist your shipper with the pick up,or you can drive it home to anywhere and enjoy the drive home.”
