Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Complete frame off restoration in 2007-2008 including re-built original 4 cylinder engine, transmission and transfer case, new wiring, brakes, gauges, etc. Original Picket Gray paint, always garaged. Approximately 850 miles since rebuilt. A nice, nice Jeep.”

“1952 (M38) low hood jeep. Street legal but really built for the trails. LOTS of time and $ invested! Ford small block 302, C4 automatic, dana 18 transfer case. Offset dana 44 full floater rearend with detroit locker. Narrowed dana 44 front axle with OX locker. 5.38 ring and pinion. Custom full cage, 35″ SSR swampers, custom dash/guages/shift tower.
