Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Sold by licensed RI dealer. Beautiful frame off, body off, nut and bolt restoration, many many new parts. Jeep shows to be in very much like new condition. Every system and component has been restored. Minor flaws only. Transmission will need attention however. Borg Warner T-90 gets stuck in second gear. Good opportunity for someone. Originally a Southwestern United States Jeep.”

“I’m selling a Jeep that I prob shouldn’t sell. But…I don’t use it, and time is one thing this father of 2 doesn’t have much of anymore. I would love to see someone buy this and rock crawl the heck out of it! I’ll spend the time showing you the many “mods” and “differences” from every other crawler-Jeep out there, in hopes to show the major work put into this amazing creation!! It has few rivals.

For Sale: One of a Kind 1947 Willy’s WWII Military Jeep (CJ-2A)
This Jeep has been carefully rebuilt from the ground up over 3 years by my father, a retired certified ASEA mechanic. Starting from a sandblasted frame, new-off-shelf (N.O.S) parts were used whenever possible. Every piece has been carefully rebuilt and reassembled – you won’t find a cleaner, or more authentic rebuild of a 1947 Willy’s. (04/21/2012) “1948 Willys CJ2A (LEFTY), frame off restoration, new full winter top, optional passenger heater, Capstan winch, rear PTO, factory removable extended bed, engine, trans, transfer case, rear ends, completely rebuilt. keyed coil, porcelainized manifolds, warn overdrive, painted original colors, princeton black with varsity red wheels and trim. new 16″ tires, museum quality. many spares including spare keyed coil, spare tire on drivers side due to law in 1948 that was rescended, 10,000 cj’s were made this way. consistant show winner. $25,000.00”

“I have an 1961 M38A1 military jeep 4×4 issued to the us marine corp. it has an original f head 4cyl engine, not sure if its the original engine its been converted to 12v dc has two new batteries, floor pan under fuel tank has been replaced. floor pan has been coated with hurculiner. have soft top and hard top w metal doors. black out front running lights have been converted to running lights and wired to be street legal. exhaust has been upgraded. does not have military carburetor. intake has been modified to use k&n filter. 8000lb warn winch on the front. have an original service manual. top speed 45-50mph. new 31″ tires no spare but have spare tire carrier. has been wired to tow with a 4way flat. 40,500 miles fun jeep asking $5000. runs and drives great. Open to trades”

“I have a restored 1954 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep for sale. Delivered to the Army in February 1954. Runs excellent. Newly rebuilt fuel pump. Engine runs at a steady 50 pounds of pressure and purrs like a kitten. The body is 99% rust free and original. Has all 3 seats,top bows,still all 24 Volt electrical, correct gas tank, new canvas winter top,top bows,jerrycan,pintle hook, shovel,axe, new canvas seat cushions, parking brake works, transmission shifts great(very smooth),new clutch, transfer case works great as does the 4 wheel drive. Has 5 brand new(100 miles on them) Military NDCC tires, correct rims, has had all new brakes put on. New exhaust system. Windshield wipers and all lights work. Has 2 new 12 volt batteries. Just changed the oil and filter last night. INCLUDES a NON-FIRING(cannot be made to fire),display .30 Cal. M1919A4 machine gun, M31A1 mount.pintle,travel arm. Looks AWESOME when installed! “1958 Jeep Willys Utility Wagon
Original Super Hurricane 6 Cylinder Engine. 3 spd Manual Transmission. Runs and drives. 4wd Lock-out Hubs.
Body and frame in excellent condition. Drivers side floor pan has been replaced. Stainless steel trim all intact. Clear MN title.
Brake Master Cylinder needs replacement. Will need to be trailered home.
Head liner and interior door panels have been removed in preparation for restoration. Have originals for use as a template. Also have original wood strips for the bed, but they’re not installed. Several side windows are missing, but have the original glass (some are broken). Also have new rubber window seals.”
