About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(04/24/2011) This has some interesting mods, including the unusual approach to mounting the gauges. I wonder if those are custom headers. They appear to have an unusual slope (compared to the ones I’ve seen).

This is advertised as a 1942, but clearly isn’t. The irony is that the seller is asking buyers to do their research and see how rare this is. I suppose a 1942 M-38 really is rare.
“This is your chance to own a true piece of history. This Jeep is rare for a few reasons, its a Marine jeep, it’s a 1942 but its also a factory PROTOTYPE GENERATOR jeep, meaning that it was designed to power a MASH unit emergency electricity. Although its not currently installed in the Jeep, WE DO HAVE IT. As far as we know it still works, and it comes with jeep. This jeep runs of multi fuels. The tires are brand new, the Jeep runs and drives like new. Clean under this on, it has been in the family since the early 60’s and has been garaged and rarely driven, it has been restored here and there but mostly just a super fine example of a rare jeep, WITHOUT the body filler that most of them have. You will be pleased to own this Jeep. We believe this one belongs in a museum , but due to family needing the money we must sell it. This jeep is so nice, and runs great. It is perfect for shows or parades. It is always started once or twice a week and backed out of the garage and moved back in again. It has the PTO system with whinch on front and rear. Also included in this auction is a large MASH unit tent heater that is also multi fuel, it looks to have never been used and is VERY rare. Please feel free to have a appraiser come out and look at this beauty before you bid. This Jeep is NOT for-sale locally so it shouldn’t get gone before the auction ends. However if it meets the reserve I will end the auction early and sell to the highest bidder, But the transaction will still be made through ebay only. Please do not bid if you don’t have the money, this is a family owned jeep that means a lot to us, so please don’t play games with us, either buy it or don’t. No hard feelings. The SN/VIN#IS MC34211 and its a TP25 Generator Prototype Jeep. Please do your research and discover just how rare it really is. This Jeep still has its minor war pings in the body hear and there (we did not want to get rid of those) why use body filler if you dont need it? This jeep is a blast to own and drive. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask me, I can be reached by text at 205-520-4782 or via email. I have included pictures of the generator powering unit and the multi fuel tent heater, also include is a Marine tool box. Buyer is Responsible for any shipping/ transporting cost”
This looks in good shape. It is list over at Sellajeep.com.
“1953 Willys Overland 4 wheel drive, 4 cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission with 2 speed overdrive, mostly stock original, converted to 12 volt electrical system. A recent professional mechanical restoration was completed. A fresh coat of original color Woodstock green paint was applied. It had been stored for 19 years prior to the reconditioning. Receipts will support the work that’s been done. New Dueler A/T tires. Very solid and is generally original factory stock with a couple of exceptions.
