This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Nicely restored 1948, Willys cj-2a jeep. The following has been done: Replacement body tub kit, Fully Rebuilt engine, transmission and axles gone thru with new seals and bearings, new clutch, full brakes and master cyl, 4 new Firestone 6.00-16 NDT tires, New exhaust, shocks, upholstery, glass…etc.
Jeep has a full rear PTO mounted, along with brackets from a Monroe 3 point hitch (gone)
Jeep runs, drives and stops perfectly, and has clear NYS title.”

It looks nice. It must have been switched to a floor shift at some point.

This is an exceptionally clean Willys Jeep and has won many awards at car shows.It is 1 of only 1825 built during the last 6 months of 1945. It has original color scheme of Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels. It is extremely fun to drive and is driven daily. For the right price, you should enjoy this Jeep as much as we have. “1953 Jeep Willys M-38. MSD ignition. Full Linex tub and roll bar. Roll bar mounted to frame. Rear undermount fuel cell. Seat belts. All Aluminum dash, wheels, exterior fender wells, radiator, and other engine parts. Stainless steel diff cover and steering linkage. 4point suspension. Warn High/Low Overdrive transfer case. 3 speed transmission. Power steering and brakes. CD/radio. Buick V6 “Dauntless” racing engine. Flomaster mufflers. Also have many miscellaneous parts to go with… such as, hood, tailgate, window frame, axles, frame, doors, etc. Please call six zero one, 529, four five four one or reply to email. Thanks!”

This could have been purchased for $7000 on Craigslist, but the seller worded the ad title oddly (and the ad didn’t show up until this evening when I did some odd searching combos). Now it’s on ebay and it has already hit $6744.
