“This willys is titled as a 1943. IT IS BY NO MEANS AN ORIGINAL MILITARY JEEP. Jeep is solid all the way around. Runs good, has no mechanical problems, except for small leak in the right header at the collector, has current inspection till 8/11, and a clear title. Engine is a 1967 odd-fire V6 (Dauntless V6) with a 4 barrel holley carb, has all aluminum heavy duty radiator, trans is a T86 newly rebuilt by a professional trans shop. Has a borg-warner All Range Overdrive unit. New clutch as of june 2010. rear is Dana 44 out of a CJ5 with 11 inch drum brakes, Front rear is a Dana 30 out of the same CJ5 with disc brakes and lock out hubs. The front is about 2 inches wider than the rear due to the disc brakes. You could run spacers in the back to even everything up, I chose not to, simply because I don’t care for them. Has new rancho leaf springs that provide a 1 inch lift. Tires are 33×12.50×15 Dunlop Mud Rovers with less than 1000 miles on them, on 15×10 wagon wheels. Willys also has power steering, heater, defroster and Sun Tach. The top on the willys is just the old top that I got when I bought it. I have sewn new window plastic in the drivers, passengers, and rear windows, due to the yellowing with age. I have more plastic that I will give along with the willys. (remind me of it) there is also a bikini top for the willys. Has racing seats with 5 point harnesses in the front, and a small bench seat with 4 point harnesses in the rear. The willys is by no means a speed demon, I do not recommend taking it on the interstate highways, but crusing around town up to 50 miles an hour it a great ride. Will Trade for running driving 67, or 68 mercury cougar”
This looks like a nice truck.
“$1850 obo
1952 Willys Pickup Truck
Clear Title
Buick v6 Engine
Rebuilt Wagner Carb
manual trans
4×4 high low levers
New Uninstalled Parts:
Master cylinder
Windshield glass
Windshield weather stripping
Chrome hood emblem
This truck runs and drives but does not stop as it needs the included master cylinder installed. The paint job is a ten footer but looks good for a mountain rig. Front hood latches need to be mounted in order to latch the front of the hood down. Front drive shaft is not currently hooked up but is included (this is how he got it and he never desired to put it back in). Dash has been modified with different gauges and a radio. Wheels and tires are good. Currently running off of exterior gas tank (not included)
I would consider this a rat rod. I say this in that it could be legally on the road with a weekend’s work and could then be driven as is or you could continue to drive it as you work on it more. Please do not expect a rig that will win any shows for paint or one that will not need tinkering.

UPDATE: Was $8500. **SOLD**
“This jeep restored close to 20 years ago my dad bought in enumclaw and passed away two years after getting it. it has been garaged ever since with an occasional summer day trip. it has a V-6 Buick motor auto transmission which only has a few hundred miles on it. Dual fuel tanks, a warn winch 8000# has a heater in side also warn overdrive. you can go 60 miles an hour down the highway.”
UPDATE: Was on eBay. **SOLD**
(04/20/2011) This was completed by the folks at Vintage Offroad. I can’t say I’m a big fan of the yellow steering wheel.
“Outstanding example of the most ICONIC Jeep – The Willy M38. This one has had 2 year body off restoration to new. It also has the rare overdrive, so she can travel on the highway. Full convertible, soft tops available.”
This looks like a nice combo. I think I’ve seen this jeep previously.
“For sale is a combo, restored 1956 Willys CJ-5 jeep and 1966 Bantam civilian 1/4 ton jeep trailer. They were both restored and painted to match just a few years ago, then stored in a building. The jeep has a metal half cab, heater, new upholstry, Ramsey 8,000 lb winch that has never had the cable spooled out, Warn over-drive, original 4 cylinder overhead that runs great, new front hubs, roll bar, small driving lights inside the grill, rack on the back for extra spare tire and handy-man jack and 5 gallon gas can (included). The trailer is a 1966 Bantam 1/4 ton civilain trailer (more rare than the military version), wood racks, spare tire, detachable tool box, and wired to match the jeep. PLUS, this also comes with a full set of mud and snow tires for BOTH the jeep and trailer, already mounted on a full set of spare wheels. I will not split the set up, this is a package deal. Compare the price of this set to a new “Rhino” at close to $11,000, and it makes this jeep and trailer look well worth the price. I have more money invested than the asking price of this jeep and trailer, with the restoration, extra tires and wheels… Clear Oregon titles. These pictures were taken about a week ago. I am also selling a 1960 CJ-5 in another listing. Thanks!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
(03/03/2011) This is the nicest Champ I’ve ever seen.
“UP4AUCTION hosted by Discover Classic Cars is very pleased to offer you this 1963 AUSTIN CHAMP JEEP! This a rather rare vehicle, these were the civilian versions of the British combat vehicles. This has 12,130 ACTUAL miles and will definitely cause heads to turn wherever you show up in it. This is not a daily driver and is not built for highway driving. Normal speed is roughly 30mph and its maximum speed is 60mph at 3,700rpm. This Champ will also ford to a depth of 1 foot 6 inches.
The temperature gauge is in-op presently, Red main indicator light is burned out and the hand brake is in need of an adjustment.
Finished in Maroon with Blue fenders, the exterior of this Austin shows well. There are a few blemishes in the paint, please view the photographs below or call us for additional details. The White vinyl removable soft top and doors are in very good condition. The Maroon vinyl seats are in good condition, there is minor wear present and a tear on the inside of the passenger seat. The carpeting also shows minor wear just so you’re aware. Please view all of the photographs below or call us for details….”

“This is a 1948 CJ2A that had a new all steel replacement body put on it some thirty years ago. This body has NO RUST and never did. This body is a copy of the sought after M38 military Jeep. It is currently on the road. To many new parts to list. I do not negotiate price by email or over the phone. Please don’t ask if I will take less unless you have seen the Jeep and have the money ready to back your offer.”
