“1943 Willys MB Jeep for sale. The Jeep has its’ original body and components minus the windshield frame assembly. I’ve restored over 30 vintage Military Vehicles since 1993 and this is my 3rd WWII Jeep. This is one of my finest jobs if I can say so. I applied new techniques that I learned recently that added more detail to my work. I got the Jeep operational last week and it drives perfect at 55 MPH! As any other vintage restoration, there is always some minor tweeking and tuning to get things just right. This Jeep was rebuilt by the US Army at the Esslingen Army Depot in 1952 where it received a newer type engine since the older type had long been out of stock. There are a few parts that’re Ford script marked to attest to that point….. (much more of a description in the Ad)”

It is almost impossible to find a Willys with this little of rust! LOOK at the PICTURES! Transmission shifts smooth through all gears. Engine fires right up and runs strong. It has the flathead 4 CYL. The jeep runs and drives amazing for being 60 years old! It has an exhaust leak, but otherwise is in good shape. Let the pictures do the talking for the body. It is in good shape! This Jeep has a clear Missouri title, in hand. This Jeep is being sold on consignment, and not through the dealership. Feel free to call or email anytime with questions.”

The seller says this jeep was bought in crates and put together in 1980.  That’s certainly an unusual story.

“1951, All stock except, wipers, blinkers, rear backup light,, vinyl seats, vinyl top and roll bar. car was purchased in crates and assembled 1980, mileage 2500 miles, car has not been driven in 2 years.”

(01/06/2010) “This is a rare 6 cylinder 1949 Willys Jeepster. The Jeepsters were constructed only from 1948 to 1950 and only made a limited number of the 6 cylinders starting in mid 1949. This particular car has been featured in an article in Open Road Magazine. The engine has recently been rebuilt and the rest of the car is almost fully restored. This car is a head turner. I can’t tell you the number of times someone has come up to me and asked what kind of a car this is and that they think it is one of the best looking cars on the road.”
