Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Could be a good price, but doesn’t start at the moment.
“I am selling a 1943 GPW Ford Jeep that has been in a dry storage for 5 years and doesn’t start at this time from sitting and the carburetor probably needs rebuilding. Engine and transmission have less than 1K miles on them since they were rebuilt in the late 1990’s. It has a new wiring harness, the rear drive shaft has been replaced, all U joints replaced and brake system has been rebuilt.
The tires are in good shape and not flat, the Jeep has the original combat rims, fuel tank was replaced when the engine was rebuilt. It is equipped with original accessories and everything in the photos are included, no other spare parts are available. It does have the elusive “F” marked pintle hook. 99% of the parts are “F” marked. It is not currently registered at this time so it will need to be trailed home and the title is clean. $10,000 FIRM and I will only accept CASH.”

Looks like a solid, updated M-38A1.
‘A solid M38A1. Can be restored to it’s original military form or used as it is. Been a hunting rig for years.
Not stock: equipped as follows:
Buick V6-12k winch-warn hubs-full cage roll bar- 32 inch wheels & tires-12 volt electrical system. Dual exhaust. Runs strong. Power steering. The left front fender kissed a pine tree-have an original M38A1 replacement fender for it. This baby doesn’t have to jump thru DMV’S smog hoop! Now isn’t that nice!
I own 2 other Jeeps just don’t use this one.

“1941 Willys Jeep MB clone. Titled as a 48 with a early 46 frame and running gear. All new sheet metal, tires, brakes, top, MB parts and more. Rebuilt transmission and transfer case. Manual. New Saturn over drive ($1100.00). 12 volt electrical system with period correct wiring harness. Show quality/1st place show winner at local car show recently $10,000 NO TRADES”

“1963 FC 170 Willys Jeep Pickup Title still in original owners name. Original paint, seats, Glass, best example of FC 170 I have every seen. FC was under coated when bought new. Winch was installed by dealer when new. Snow plow was installed at dealer when new. All parts are on the truck. Have open title, all paper work and original owners manual and warranty contract.”

Nice looking jeep. It’s missing the rear bow holder and the passenger side reflector, but those are minor quibbles.

It has new tires, wiring, gauges, rag top, 8volt electrical system, overhauled transmission etc. This is in very good condition and only has a few miles on it since the restoration.
