About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(09/20/09) This has got a wide rimmed, slanted dashboard fiberglass body. It also has the rear wheel well extended slightly.
“1948 Willys CJ 2a Jeep with a clear title. Ford 302 engine that runs great, and sounds awesome! Griffin aluminum radiator, Twin stick transfer case, New master cylinder, New headers and mufflers, Fiberglass tub (body), Fiberglass fenders, Factory metal/steel Hood (stamped Willys), Extra Fiberglass hood …”
I found this dually earlier this week, but now can’t remember where. So, if anyone happens to know, send me the link and I’ll make sure the website (or jeep owner or both) gets the credit due them.
The pictures are a little pixelated, but the jeep looks great.
“1954 Willy’s CJ-3B Jeep. original running gear, paint 2 yrs old, original color. No rust & has never had any rust, has also been converted to a 12 volt, GM style alt red top optima battery, pertonix electronic distributor, also features overdrive unit. NOS trico wiper motors, I have original boxes. Solex Carb. I have most receipts. Also included original parts book,“NOT a reprint” and the Owner’s manual. I have saved old original parts, Carb, Gen, Dist, & Coil. I have a soft top for the Jeep, although it is not in perfect shape, On the passenger side, there is a 3-4 inch tear near the front, this can easily be fixed, since we do not drive in the wintertime, it is not a big deal to me. Always topless. This is a super clean, solid Jeep, no issues what so ever. I have just taken it as far as I want to and I am ready now to move on to another project. Possible trade for 1966-67 Pontiac Lamons…… $8450.00 OBO. DENNIS 503-458-6014 mkadams@centurytel.net”
You know, it’s just occurred to me I’ve never ridden in a jeepster (that I remember).
“Dark Red 1950 Willys Jeepster Conv,. Totally restored and rebuilt within the last few years. Jeepster mainly used for parades. Good top and side curtains. 6 cyl, 3 speed, 12 volt. Nice, runs & drives great.”
(09/21/09) This looks likes a nicely upgraded flattie.
“For sale is a 1943 FORD GPW (JEEP). The FORD model GPW was also produced as the Willys model MB for the US Government during WWII. This jeep still has a few FORD parts but has been rebuilt/civilianized with parts from other models of jeeps or non-military vehicles. The jeep runs well and includes the following items. -350 Chevrolet V8 -4 bbl Holley carburetor (new) -3-speed manual transmission plus Warn overdrive -Warn 8,000 lb winch with power-out or free-spool out -Transfer case with 2H, 4H, 2L and 4L selection -5.38 front and rear end gear ratio -Model 44 full-floating rear axle -11 inch drum brakes -Double reservoir master brake cylinder -15×8 Chromed steel wheels (including spare) -Electric windshield wipers -Power steering -Tilt steering column -High-back bucket seats -Matching Stewart Warner gauges -Stainless steel dash panel -Full soft top -Sun top with half doors -Heater ….. I have owned this jeep for some time but I have not used it much in the last several years. As such, there are a few items that need to be repaired or replaced due to the extended storage. One electric windshield motor needs replaced. The heater needs a new fan motor and the coolant system reconnected. The winch motor needs new bearings. $4000 O.B.O.”
UPDATE: This jeep has been for sale for about a year. It was on ebay recently and is now back on Craigslist at a lower price. It was located in Eugene (hence the Oregon Ducks reference), but now is in Santa Clara (apparently).
“1953 CJ3B Willys. If your a hunter this jeep is for you. It will climb anything and go anywhere. If your a Duck fan the color is perfect. No rust and runs great. Black soft top with doors. 3 speed with high/low transfer case. Warren hubs. The jeep has been driven less than a hundred miles in the last 6 years and has always been garaged.”
This looks more than complete with all the extras. Check out the image folder to see LOTS of pics.
“For sale is a beautifully restored original WWII 1942 JEEP WILLYS MB. We are asking $18,000 but all offers will be considered. The Jeep is located in Airmont, Rockland County, NY. Manual transmission, 3 speed forward and 1 reverse, V4 engine, regular gas, chassis # ORD 207789. All gauges are working ….”
“I have for sale a 1949 Willys Jeepster in need of a good home. Has been garage kept and is rust free. I don’t have the time to give the attention this vehicle deserves. Everything on this vehicle is original, except the top and seat covers which are in good condition. It also comes with the side windows. It has: “Flat Head 4″ Three on the tree manual transmission. Optional overdrive. Previous owner was going to make into hot rod until he found out everything was original. Pulled gas tank to use as template and didn’t put back on correctly, so gas tank has loose connection after going down bumpy road and leaking on garage floor. Haven’t driven in a year, but started and ran great after buying new battery and installing new tune up kit. The only other issue with this vehicle is needing a new paint job and new tires. Serious inquiries only can contact me at (734) 558-1878. No trades. I have enough projects right now.”
